Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh (page 6)

Booked a matte dlx pro on 10 10 20 20 (looks like I am obsessed with numbers and Honda, my first car, a Honda Civic, was booked on 9 9 99 and now a Honda bike) after waiting for the meteor for long enough and trusting (rather having experienced) the Honda technology and reliability pretty well. Waiting for the macho to arrive.

BigWing was kind enough to call me to discuss the financing, and the bike is coming on 26th. Here is an update...

In that case, I believe Honda may be in the final stages of developing the bigger CB. Do you have any idea whether it is going to be a single like the RE Classic 500 or a parallel twin like the RE twins?

I beg to disagree about the RE and the 650 twins, from the time it was launched I was trying to get a test drive of the interceptor with 2 dealers (walk in) in Kerala and on the website while in Bangalore and Kerala, till date they did not even have the courtesy to call other than the first call to inform that they dont have a test drive bike. Else, I would have bought it long back. Then I was following the Meteor expecting it to be launched in July, Aug, Sep,. Finally the CB350 sealed it for me. So let's see how that goes, having owned a Honda Civic (1.5 Lakh self driven) and a Honda Pilot (80K self driven) + 3 Honda Activas, I hope the CB350 too would live up to the expectations.

Well, guess I'll have to ride it around then

That's the money shot! Found this circulating on Whatsapp and fell head over heels for this matte black and that shiny Honda lettering. The dual tones are a disservice

Find out whether they will sell you the tank and side panels and the price.

A good quality paint job might not be much cheaper than a set of brand new replacement factory painted tinwork.

Cheers, Doc

Hi Sebring, I'm sorry, but this seems like a black-and-white photo of the matte green variant. From what I've learnt, Honda's only offering the CB350 in single-tone black in a metallic finish.

Cheers!

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh (page 6)

Just got a call from one of the representatives from Honda. He mentioned that the bikes are already despatched to Showrooms and the TD should be starting from 21st onwards in Bangalore.

I enquired about changing the colour of the DLX-pro to single tone and he said that should be possible at dealership. He said that Honda has received a lot of requests regarding the same and he said in future we can expect DLX pro in single tone too. He did not wanted to put a date on 'future'.
When I informed him that I may not want to take delivery immediately (in Nov 1st week), he guaranteed that I can postpone the delivery to beginning of Jan.

So, next weekend to Lavelle road for test drive. Hope they do give priority to the ones who has already booked the bike.

...
A representative from Big Wing, Vittal Malya Road, told me that the bikes would be dispatched from their Delhi plant on 19th, and would reach BLR only by 26th. Post this, RTO registration would take a few days, and that only by the 1st week of Nov would the bikes be available for TD.

I double-checked after your post, but he insists that the info he has given is correct.

A few posts ago, a gentleman claimed to be the owner of VFM Honda, BLR and had responded to a few queries. (Can't seem to find his posts. Were they removed? Don't recall the username.)

Wonder if the gentleman/anybody else can check with their respective SAs and confirm. Appreciate it.

Re: The Honda H'ness CB350, priced at Rs. 1.90 lakh (page 6)

I had received a call from BigWing saying the bikes will reach Bangalore between 26th-28th. The bikes have to be registered for TD but those buyers who want to go ahead with the purchase without TD can do so (Very unlikely I feel). The dual tone isn't growing on me and I want the single tone (Top-End) as well. Probably, I'll keep my purchase on hold too

Honda H’ness CB350 dispatches begin from its plant in Manesar, Haryana. Deliveries should begin soon via Honda's BigWing outlets.

Classic Japanese lab coats photograph.

I love it!

The more I look at the photos the more I want to see what the bike would look like with a nice RD 350 sealed beam dome fitted. Or even that of a Lightning 535.

The Eliminator ones are also nice but a tad small for the look.

Cheers, Doc
