Flyte is very high quality

Well the Flyte hits a new quality benchmark. you must see the Flyte and take a ride on it to believe the quality achievements in flyte. fit finish, build quality, performance is perfect - really! And it gets a three year warranty (other scooters are 1 yr), so thats confidence. In fact, globally SYM scooters come with engine "lifetime" warranties. 20 years or something, but in India they are not giving lifetime warranty due to dusty conditions and adulterated fuel...

for comparison with access - the flyte is better designed, the engine is supersmooth and refined, and has a lot more up-to-date features. Overall speaking, the Flyte is a globally "uptodate" product, and leagues ahead of the access or even the activa.

I don't understand what "globally uptodate" means.

Also look at what I said in my previous post:

The scooter may be good but I seriously don't think that Kinetic has the capability to market and support any good product.
Can you tell me what was the last good kinetic product which was marketed and supported well by the company? In fact I don't remember the last product which they sold more than 2-3 years.

Here are some of the failures:
Marvel, Boss, Boss-115, GF-125, GF-170, some small scooter (Zing??), Kinetic Honda 4 stroke, etc.

Vabs - everyone is saying that the Flyte is the best Kinetic ever, and its likely to mark a major turnaround/comeback for Kinetic. Also, dont forget that its a Kinetic-SYM , not simply a Kinetic. SYM is really very good on R&D, quality and technology

That is the problem. It's a Kinetic.

Try answering my question below.

Go ahead and buy the flyte if you like it so much. I am just warning people because I have suffered by going to Kinetic in past.

looks really cool. looks small but does not feel small when you actually sit on it and ride it. handles almost like a bike. good road manners even over bumpy stuff. front suspension is simply superb (fully imported i am told) and is confidence inspiring. fit & finish is good. very zippy upto 50kmph & then on it slightly labours up to 80 on the meter. smooth at all speeds, no vibrations whatsoever. looks like kinetic has a winner after so many years in the doldrums.

yes I had a test ride and initial impression is that its fantastic. the most impressive things are the engine smoothness and refinement, the suspension and perfect ergonomics. fit-finish, build and overall quality are also top notch. the features are useful too. definitely worth checking out, esp at that price.

launch function

i am told that there is an official launch function on 13th, this saturday at chowdiah memorial hall from 5 pm onwards. may be worth attending cos its an open-invitation function i learnt.
will be interesting to see if "bips" will be there! though no confirmation on that yet.

I have been looking for following parts for my Kinetic GF170:
- complete set of oil seals
- complete set of engine/gearbox packing gaskets (?)
- set of oil seals for front and rear shocks
- new side panels as olders ones have the broken mounts
- set of tank mounts (also some way to reduce vibrations in tank)
- handel bar dampners
- accelerator cable
- engine/gearbox cover (cracked in a minor crash)

If somebody here knows some people in Kinetic, please help. I will be in India/Pune next month and I will be needing most of these parts to get my bike running.

ha ha ha...
sunil, you think I havent tried it already?

I had contected the ASM directly (and he was very kind to me) but still it took more than 20 days to get the part.

I don't know why are you so confident about Kinetic, I will never trust them again.

vabs - I think you've said your piece many times already. we are trying to discuss the flyte here and you just keep saying the same thing again and again. if you wont trust or buy kinetic again, thats fine and its up to you. but can you please let us discuss the flyte in peace?? especially since you dont even live in India.
