The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

As we know- Honda H'ness CB350 was developed with the Indian market in mind and was launched here in October. The bike is set to be introduced in Japanese market by Spring 2021 at an estimated price of 550,000 to 600,000 yen.

Now, Japanese Young Machine magazine speculates that a CB350 scrambler will appear in Japan "around next summer" immediately after the introduction of the standard model. A cafe racer could also be in consideration later.

Quote:
By the way, speaking of Honda's scrambler, it started with CL72 which debuted in 1966, and CL400 (CB400SS and brother car which arranged the engine of XR400) etc. are famous in the '90s and' 00s. It would be possible to project such a famous car image.

Furthermore, derivative models will be developed one after another after that.

The first thing that comes to mind when it comes to derivative models is the cafe racer.
It must be noted that Honda had hinted at 'surprises in the future" during the launch presentation in India. So hopefully we might get these models before their launch in Japan.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

One thing that a little birdie had told me some time back was that though the CB350 was designed for India, it would be sold in global markets in due course of time. I assume that Honda will export the CB350 from India to other markets to make use of the low production costs. Similar to the KTM business model for their smaller bikes.

It will be interesting to see if Honda can launch the Scrambler 350 before Royal Enfield gets us the long awaited Scrambler 650. I have a feeling they will!

Ouch! That's just two days after the promised delivery date for my Highness ! I really like what they've done with the seat, the tail light cluster, and the rear tyre; it looks quite sporty and contemporary. Maybe I should put the Highness on hold .

Looks more like CB300 to me. Only difference being cb300 had mono shock.

CB300 will be a premium offering and last time I saw it in person, didn't have the road presence like the cb350.

Also the seat was too narrow for two adults and price was definitely steep. Let us see if Honda can reposition in terms of pricing. Better to wait if you like more modern/sporty elements.

Try to put the CB300 pic next to this image. There is absolutely no similarity.

After analysing the CB300r pics in details, i take back my words
I certainly see some inspiration, however I agree this might just well be CB350 platform based scrambler. Good to see Honda unlocking full potential of this platform

The exhaust would tell you that it is not a scrambler either.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Cafe Racer is what it looks like. They have purposely shown the sleek rear end and part of the exhaust pipe only as the major changes are at the front.

It should be with a smaller sleeker fuel tank, low/lower handle bars, maybe a twin pod instrument cluster to set it apart from the CB, a different tune with maybe different sprocket sizes and 17” inch wheels at both ends.

If I had booked the CB and awaiting delivery, I would postpone it and take a call after this bikes reveal since 16th February is around the corner.

Cheers

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

If it is indeed a 350 cc motorcycle, then it is ok with me whether it is a scrambler or something else. But if it is something bigger, 500 cc etc, then I am all as I have just two months old CB350. I intend to upgrade it with its bigger version in a couple of years.

One thing is for sure: Honda is expert in keeping secrets.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Honda is basically pulling Royal Enfield on Indians now. Selling sub par products under different skins. Absolutely hated the CB350 when I rode it during a long ride, everyone except the owner of the motorcycle did.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

The tread pattern on the rear tyre and the high clearance with the wheel suggests an adventure/scrambler more than a cafe racer.

Guess we'll know in a few days.

Cheers

Ride Safe.

re: The Honda CB350 RS. EDIT: Launched at Rs. 1.96 lakh

Well, whatever new bike they bring, it they dont improve or audit some of their existing premium bigwing dealership (unless the dealership decision is made only on their financial background and not on any other aspects like customer service) then we will have to wait and see how long it can take them. I believe their non premium outlets are far better in terms of customer experience. Just my opinion from experience.

Doesn't it look like the back of the Rebel? That could be a possibility too.
