A 500cc single developing around 28ps mated to a 6 speed would be ideal. There are many who love the single cylinder configuration but need more oomph than the current 350.

Absolutely. A 500 with an overdrive ratio would've been a dream. I shifted my bike to valvoline synthetic 15w50 and the vibrations are barely noticeable till 100kph. Can easily cruise at 90 which is more than adequate for the kind of roads in kerala. A sixth gear on that engine with a counter balancer like the new 350 combined with the perfect seating position( for my use) of the classic would've been perfect.

RE is going all guns blazing for their most popular model. Saw a video showing more color options. Good to see the 500cc color schemes being on offer. This will have long waiting period for sure

RE has played it smart here.
They have chosen not to interfere with the 'classic' old design and avoided adding too many 'modern' touches.

This 'bottle green' color looks fresh, and suits the CL350 well.

One observation, this new 350cc lump looks a tad smaller in size than the old UCE lump.

I love what RE have done with this.
For non-enthusiast "Bullet" fans, "nothing" has changed.
For enthusiasts / informed buyers, everything has changed that needed change.

I got sick of waiting and bought a Honda Hness, absolutely happy with it. It is the non-RE modern Bullet.

The only thing I hope to see is some new (not flashy) color schemes, some classy dual-tones, retro themes, stripes and the like. Paint schemes on the 650 twins have been great, Meteors haven't been bad either. Would love to see that trend continue with the new Bullets and Classics.

Also hope to see more competition in this space, like Honda and Jawa have started. Competition will succeed if they keep things like seat-size and comfort in mind, remember India still rides with pillions especially in this class of bike. Personally I think Jawa dropped the ball on that angle. RE's seats and back support (like with Meteor's factory pillion backrest) continue to be best in class. The Classics in these undisguised pics looks like they have seats with comfortable dimensions.

2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 to launch on 27th August.

It will be the second model in RE’s line-up to be powered by the J-platform’s 349cc engine, followingthe Meteor 350.

2021 Classic will get semi-digital instrumentation and even a Tripper navigation pod. Some variants are also expected to come with alloy wheels

The seats caught my attention too. The pillion looks reasonably comfortable for long journies.

That is my biggest criterion these days. Having a good pillion seat.

The bike looks very good even though the pics are shot from awkward angles.
