New Harley-Davidson 300cc cruiser spied in China

Back in 2019, Harley-Davidson had announced a collaboration with Chinese motorcycle brand Qianjiang Motor to produce small-displacement models for the Asian market.

Now, images of a new 300cc cruiser motorcycle called the Qianjiang SRV300 have been leaked online. While the bike will go on sale in China, it is expected to be rebadged as a Harley-Davidson for other Asian markets.

Reports suggest that the upcoming Harley-Davidson 300cc cruiser will be powered by a 296cc V-twin engine producing around 30 BHP. It is expected to have a low kerb weight of 163 kg, allowing for spirited performance.

As seen from the leaked images, the design of the new motorcycle seems to be inspired by the Harley-Davidson Iron 883. This includes the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, single-piece seat, round headlamps and an extended rear fender. The motorcycle also has upside-down forks at the front and disc brakes at both ends.

The new Harley-Davidson 300cc cruiser motorcycle could be introduced in the Indian market as well. However, there is no official word at this point.

Re: New Harley-Davidson 300cc cruiser spied in China

I had a KTM Baja 600 in the 80s. The bike had a Rotax engine and very rare in Scandinavia.
Harley Davidsen had their military motorcycle rebadged from the same bike but with a 500 cc engine.
I was stuck once in Denmark with a damaged timing wheel and the only place to get one was from the Harley dealer.

From what I know, this will come to India, if at all as a CBU. That will put the price of the bike in the 6 to 8 lakh range on road.

Even if it is introduced in the market, the current business model will not allow for any of the products to be worth considering as it will be priced too high and the other bike makers already have a few options which are better priced than HD.

This will come to India as a CKD unit from what I have heard from reliable sources. HD wants to place it around 3-4 Lakh mark. But at that price also, I see few takers because the pre-worshipped superbike market gives you way more options at the same price.
