Re: Dubious claims of the Simple Energy One electric scooter | Might be based on an Ather (page 3)

Out of all the available electric scooters this is the best looking one in my opinion. The specs I'm not sure how well they'll transfer in the real world. Sounds a bit too good to be true.

Re: Dubious claims of the Simple Energy One electric scooter | Might be based on an Ather (page 3)

Honestly, I will trust this company when I see it on the road. I have seen pictures of their factory etc, but still.

There was a company called Oben Rorr. I pre-booked. Not sure if I got my back. I hear they are dead. Bounce, got money back, I guess. OLA money was returned instantly. Now I have pre-booked Ride River Indie.

Not a pretty situation for electric two-wheelers.

I am worried about over automation, over electronics/software. All mechanical components work fine. For some electronics failures, the whole equipment is nonfunctional.

I have seen people dragging their two-wheelers for punctures, brakes, empty fuel tanks etc. Yesterday, I saw an OLA S1 pro guy pushing, pulling with his electric two-wheeler on the road. Asked him, what happened. He said he drove the scooter for around 60 km in Bangalore's hot weather. The motor has become very hot, hence he is pushing this scooter himself. The battery was not emptied.

All these motors are air-cooled it seems. Very hot summer, Bangalore uphill climbs, two people riding, now I am worried, will it melt the copper?

Looks like only one assembly line. Rest of the factory looks empty, maybe I am wrong with my observation. Saying that I would still like to give these guys a benefit of doubt considering it took some time from their botched introduction to actual rollout.

Did the Test Rides in various cities occur as announced? Goa was supposed to be 10th & 11th August. I didn't see it happening.
