The Jawa special edition gets the tricolour on the fuel tank as well as an insignia commemorating 50 years of the Indo-Pak war victory.

It also gets an insignia that reads Commemorating 50 years of the 1971 war victory, followed by 1971-2021 Special Edition.

Mechanically, the Jawa remains the same borrowing power from the 293 cc single-cylinder engine tuned for 26.9 bhp and 27.02 Nm of peak torque.

The Jawa Special Edition is priced at Rs. 1.93 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it about Rs. 15,000 more expensive than the Forty Two and Rs. 6000 more expensive than the Jawa.

Customers can book the special edition motorcycle online on the company's website.

Only if Jawa focussed more on the sales and service part, the brand would have prospered and introductions like the ones above, would have been appreciated by the market. Just introducing some commemorative edition without taking care of the existing problems is like putting a tape on a part which needs surgery !!

Even after the initial hoopla has died down and stories of non delivery and booking cancellations became the norm, the company didn’t care to address the problem areas. Result is that Honda has started to get more numbers with Highness despite Jawa having those good looking and competent products

Good to know that Jawa motorcycles is still active in the market. Especially that they are launching new models. Jawa needs to capitalize on the demand that is there for Jawa motorcycles and not lose customers to other premium offerings due to high waiting times of their models.

The colors are a straight copy from the successful 'desert storm' & 'Gunmetal Grey' theme adopted by RE on CL350.

Nevertheless, something is better than nothing.

Curious, is this some sort of sticker work or really a paint job. Also it is not clear if these are limited edition(how exclusive are they?)

With each passing month Jawa's continue to climb up the exclusivity ranks!

A shrinking sales and service network and the advent of the Meteor/Highness means that the Jawa numbers will be limited even if not on purpose.

Obvious copy of the RE Desert Storm. But at least the fuel tank probably won't have paint chips in it like the REs did
