Super lazy design. All this hype for a lot of nothing. They could have atleast gone the supermoto route and given it some wider 17 inch alloys and tyres instead . All they've done is remove bits off the Himalayan and painted some new colours and changed the name with crayons. Nice.

The silver spirit color scheme look awfully similar to the Mercedes AMG
petronas F1 team livery with the black , silver and aquamarine colors

Not a bike expert but I wanted to know this. Is that sitting position good for a cruiser bike? I have RE 350 (Standard Edition without Electric start) and I love how comfortable that sitting position is. The sitting position looks like similar to what my bike has.

I was looking forward to this, but the actual launch has left me a bit depressed. It's neither lighter nor cheaper than a Himalayan once the missing bits have been accessorised (essentials like centre stand, engine guard, maybe even the Tripper).

Hard pass. Now looking at options one segment higher with the G310GS. I'll end up paying more, but will probably be happier for longer. Or even stick to the regular bread-and-butter 350cc models- at least they are now refined, along with being iconic.

I know, right!

Say what you will about this bike, but the colours offered are absolutely smashing, and very clearly aimed at millennials. They will definitely make the bike stand apart from the Himalayan.

I'm loving its looks, at least in pictures, except the headlamp cowl. That surely should've been blacked out.

I loved the skyline blue and yellow granite colour ways the most. But the reviews are mentioning that the fit and finish isn’t any different than the Himalayan and isn’t at par with the new Classic. This along with the chassis break issues (with Himalayan) doesn’t instil much confidence.

Otherwise it seems to be a good all rounder and the (non-substantial) weight loss along with smaller front wheels (leading to lower seat height, smaller wheelbase ) should make it more accessible and easier to ride.

Can it be safely assumed that :

"The infamous chassis snap has been solved/taken care of."

I think so because, in PowerDrift's review, Varun had stated that due to the front wheel being downsized to a 19-incher, so the rake angle was also reduced, which looks like it is tighter than before (as seen on the Himalayan) and the bike can change directions more easily (again as seen on the Himalayan).


I'm eager to know what other users think of this.

I hope the weld quality also has been improved.

Apart from looking better and being more manageable due to shorter front wheel and shedding 6 kg, is there any reason to pick this bike?
It loses a fair bit of standard kit w.r.t. himalayan and the price difference is not much as well.
Is this Himalayan Lite with fatter profits for RE?
