| Honda 2-wheeler sales cross 5 crore unit mark Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has sold over 5 crore units in India since 2001.  It took 11 years for Honda to achieve the milestone of 1 crore sales in India. However, the next 1 crore units were sold in just 3 years. In the next 2 years, Honda 2-wheeler sales crossed the 2.5 crore unit mark. Since then, sales have doubled to cross the 5 crore mark. The Honda Activa remains the highest-selling scooter in India. In 2018, Activa sales crossed the 2 crore unit mark and by 2021, the Activa became the first scooter to achieve 2.5 crore sales.
