Mysterious TVS electric scooter caught testing

An early test mule of what is believed to be a new electric scooter by TVS has been caught testing near Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

The e-scooter is equipped with a digital instrument cluster and has a carrier in place of a rear seat. The overall design of the scooter suggests that it could be aimed at the B2B and B2C segments for last-mile delivery.

The new e-scooter could be offered with the same electric powertrain as the iQube, which uses a 4.4 kW electric motor. The 2.25 kWh battery pack is said to offer a maximum range of 75 km on a single charge.

Re: Mysterious TVS electric scooter caught testing

Everyday we see last mile operators struggle large bags in a bike or scooter. It’s a huge opportunity for 2W companies to redesign vehicles with decent useable secure storage in the absence of a pillion rider.

A good 150km range should serve needs across cities, semi urban and rural needs of a day with overnight topping opportunity. Petrol price can only be an enabler.

Re: Mysterious TVS electric scooter caught testing

A very interesting segment which TVS again explores. Surprisingly no other manufacturer even tries to get into this two-wheeler commercial load segment.
TVS XL is the only successful bike so far.
But they too have had their failures with the max 4r.

Notice the dual rear suspension.

Spotted this at Banneghatta circle, the rider coming from Anekal side and going towards NICE road. Was too sudden, and being in the opp direction + me taking a turn, could not take any pic.
