re: Yezdi Motorcycle Brand relaunched with Adventure, Scrambler & Roadster models

Roadster looks a copy of Meteor 350 and adventure a copy of Himalayan.

Anyways, more the bikes, better it is for the Indian consumer.

I hope they don't botch up these motorcycles like Jawa. All the best !!

CL did the next best thing. The Yezdis all make slightly different amounts of peak power and torque. Apparently, the state of tune on the three are different from each other.

It has a single head pipe and diverges into two end cans.

You can see a 360 of it here: https://www.yezdi.com/motorcycles/yezdi-scrambler

Cheers, Doc
He was saying something about the y shaped port for the exhaust of the old jawa being gone, looks like the bike still has 2 pipes.

re: Yezdi Motorcycle Brand relaunched with Adventure, Scrambler & Roadster models

The scrambler actually looks like an extremely good motorcycle. As far as this does not go the same way JAWA did, this could be a very good seller. The roadster on the other hand looks too similar to the JAWA's, to the extent where it just looks like a dechromed and rebadged one. Adventure kind of looks like a Himalayan, but as far as the Chassis ain't breaking and it can do basic touring, it will easily be a good seller.

With the stance and look and weight and ground clearance and wheel tyre combo I am actually liking the Scrambler more and more.

Happens in real life in our younger days too, biologically.

Kahin pe nigahein, kahin pe nishana or some such jazz ...

Cheers, Doc

And none of them looks "Yezdi" to me, except that engine case. I wonder why they chose not to start the resurrection with the "Roadking" -

re: Yezdi Motorcycle Brand relaunched with Adventure, Scrambler & Roadster models

I'm sure this has been said many times, but it's worth saying again. Irrespective of how good/bad these bikes are, in my eyes they have nothing to do with the Yezdi that most of us remember fondly. Another case of companies (shamelessly?) using an emotionally loaded name from the past just to get more attention to a mostly different product.

Instantly reminded me of something Jason Cammisa said in one of his videos about the Ford Mustang Mach-E: "By putting that Mustang badge on the Mach-E, Ford got you to watch a whole video on a mid-size SUV you would have otherwise never even cared about .... Sucker!".

I agree. A proper general purpose roadbike instead of the cruiser looking roadster would have been so much better. But I think the Scrambler functionally fits the description really really well.

The switches, atleast to my eyes, look very cheap. Feels like it will not last for a long time.

I never liked Classic Legends. Will always prefer RE over this brand. Even after this launch, my preference will remain the same.

That scrambler Looks so yummy!!

Good to see Yezdi back, that adventure bike though does not seem to be apt with that engine, will have to see how they have tuned it.

re: Yezdi Motorcycle Brand relaunched with Adventure, Scrambler & Roadster models

Yezdi Adventure looks good to my eyes. If they manage to give a laundry list of accessories, I see a winner. Who knows this may push Royal Enfield to better kit the upcoming Himalayan that's been doing rounds on the internet. I would love to see Yamaha enter into this space. A hardcore tourer with Japanese reliability, let's shoot for the stars. As for the other two models, I don't have anything to complain. I just don't see why anyone would pick these over Enfields.

Isn't that EXACTLY the same as Triumph?

Or Royal Enfield since 2010?

The generation that have an emotional connect with Jawa/Yezdi will be in the age bracket of 55+, many would be in their 60's. They definitely won't drive the sales, even if they somehow are convined this is really Yezdi!

The millennials definitely won't relate to the brands.

re: Yezdi Motorcycle Brand relaunched with Adventure, Scrambler & Roadster models

The scrambler with its grey silencers setup on blacked out body looks odd to me. I do not like the silencer shape for the up sweep. The pillion seat looks uncomfortable too with the forward slope.

They have priced the Adventure a little below the Himalayan. It will be interesting to see what components shown on the bike will be offered as accessories and standard at the price indicated.

The next couple of months all possible combination comparison rides to be expected.
