Keep a long metal pipe with your tools. Insert it into the wrench and turn, all that leverage will make it child's play. Especially if you are using tiny Allen wrench or a hex wrench

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

During the weekend I went for some short highway ride. Since the bike is still in running in period, I maintained a speed of less than 80kmph. Dash shown an average of 40kmpl during the ride.

I must say you have great self-control. I have not able to extract more than 34 kmpl on this

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

First service update:

Odometer Reading: 673KM
Service charge: Rs: 2003
Service Center: VFM Honda, Ulsoor (Halasuru), Bangalore

I got appointment yesterday by filling an online form.

Service advisor called me yesterday and asked me to come to the service center by 9.30AM on Monday.

Weekday is the best time to get service. Saturday is the worst day as the place is flooded with CB350 H'ness. People are buying them in bucket loads.

8.40am - Started from my home
9.41am - Reached the service center. Service center starts at 9.30AM.

10.00am - Water wash done. Then the bike was moved outside to let the water drain and other bikes were currently in the ramp.

11.00am - The bike was then moved for service. There is no admission in the service area, but here are the list of items I was able to see from the customer lounge.
  • Radiator fluid top up done
  • Chain was cleaned and lubed
  • New gasket for oil filter
  • Oil filter cap was cleaned with air jet
  • Oil filter changed
  • 1.5L new oil added from 2 oil cans (1L each). They returned 500ml oil to me.
  • Electrical items were checked.

12:10-12.30PM: I received the vehicle and don't remember the exact time.

Issues / Niggles
  • Some chain slack / noise - During the service it was adjusted.
  • Gear lever (shifter) is slightly higher and the service advisor mentioned that it's not possible to adjust. May be I need to check with someone else.
  • Very, very poor headlight. This is by far the biggest blunder from Honda which is more than the pricing to say the least. I need to look for some after market accessories.
  • Useless rear brakes. Rear brakes feel like sliding a block of cheese over the floor.
------------

Removed the Sari guard during the weekend. Finding a suitable bolt was a bit of a task and finally able to get it from a local bike shop.

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

A good video to check for those who are on the fence between G310R and CB300R.

G310R 1st service charge

They are charging customers for using paddock stand as well, which I find a bit ridiculous.

I was confused between the CB300 and the CB350R. Rejected the Highness due to its very tall gearing ratios. Found it necessary to shift into 1st when encountering speed bumps.
Did TD the CB350R and loved it.

Well I just sat on the CB300 and found the left leg position too rearward set. Don't really enjoy that riding position.(It's been a problem for me in the R15 also) so haven't really been looking to go have a TD of it.

Can you please elaborate more on this and few pictures would also be helpful, if it's not too much too much to ask. Is it the new Led design and since other bikes like CB350R also share similar design do you reckon they will face the same problem?

Regards

If you are riding R15 then every other bike would feel easier to live with, especially, the riding position. CB300R has a slightly sporty riding position, but that is no way taxing. If you are confused between both bikes, then do a test ride both bikes. Don't just sit on it and conclude. One of the reasons I have not gone for 350s are, they are very slow to 0 to 100. The time is almost double compared to CB300R.

Regarding illumination, I will try to take photos tonight. Both beam spread and intensity are very less in my opinion.

Also bought few accessories from Amazon and bigbadbikes

LCD scratch guard

Riding gear reflective patch - My riding gear including helmet, gloves, bike are all black. So few reflective patch / 3M reflective stickers are a must.

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

I was looking for used CB300R's and saw one which had covered just 980 kms and the owner was asking 3.25L. The issue I had with the CB was that it was around 30k overpriced and I thought I hit the jackpot with this listing.
I then realized that the pictures looked very similar to something I saw before and then realized that this person has put up the same pictures that @7000rpm has uploaded here. Looks like a scam. He even asked me for a deposit just for a test drive saying he doesn't trust people with his bike

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

Least selling two wheeler list but how accurate are these numbers? I booked and got the vehicle on April only, but it says 0 CB300R sold in the period.

Greedy Honda marketing people are killing this bike. Because of these people, owners may face issues with parts, spares in the future.

I love the exclusivity on the road. Since it was released in its BS-4 avatar, I have not seen even one on the road. But the parts issue is real. I'm already facing an issue with Honda Bigwing Kolkata unable to fix my issue with the starter switch.

I doubt the situation will improve unless Honda reduces the price or provide better build and parts.

I would not worry too much about parts that wear. Tires, brake pads, rotors, chain, light bulbs and such. For rest of the parts, its a Honda. In case you do need an OEM part, the same bike is sold worldwide, and you will be able to source it. Its not like you bought a Daewoo.

Congratulations on your purchase of Honda CB 300R. Have the replacement part for your starter issue come and resolved?

Re: 2022 Honda CB300R Review

Congratulations on getting your new bike. its looks very.

I am also waiting for the delivery this weekend. But reading the messages on non-availability of parts and the fit and finish from Honda, which to be frank did not expect..

I am little sceptical on my decision. The reason is chose this bike was due to weight issue, as I have a bad back so can't handle heavy bike or else my choice was Interceptor. During test rides only this bike really felt very easy through Bangalore traffic.

Had done test ride of FZ250, Interceptor and MT 15 2.0 - I liked the MT 15 as it was also effortless and black colour was very nice. Other colours wouldn't suit me as I am 45 years old.

Test riding CB300R i was surprised that i could effortlessly handle the bike. Expecting the bike by Saturday 28 May 2022 or else Monday 30 May 2022.

Just to keep you informed I owned the first generation RR310 from 2018 to 2020.
