The first of these will be Hero's upcoming maiden electric scooter, which will be officially unveiled on July 1 to coincide with the birth anniversary of Dr. Brijmohan Lall, the founder of the company.

Hero MotoCorp again postponed the launch of its first electric scooter under Vida brand. This is the second time that Hero MotoCorp’s first EV postponed which initially expected to be launched in March 2022. Later it’s postponed to July 1st and now to festive season.

That seems to be the problem. They have given away the brand to another branch of the family long back when EVs were thought of as mere fancy. Now that brand's sales are increasing steadily. But there is no way of taking it back! Customers are not aware the brand is not connected to Hero Motocorp, and buy the products out of their trust in the latter!

Seeing the silhouette of the scooter in the above post I guess it is Hero Moto Corp's partner Gogoro's S1 electric scooter. This electric scooter looks a size small in pictures or may be this silhouette is for advertising purpose since Gogoro has few other larger electric scooter models in its line up. But no doubt Gogoro has already established itself as the global leader in electric two wheeler battery swapping technology and is already partnering several other electric two wheeler companies including Yamaha and global leader Yadea in other Asian markets.
Just saw Ola announcing 10K discount in the Ola thread, looks like the competition has already started to face heat from Vida.
