Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Folks in NCR,

I had a word with JM motors sector 10 in Noida and they can arrange for one within 20 days on payment. OTR is 1.64 Lakhs.

I choose to buy from my home state due to wide difference in registration charges.

Thanks. This ain't no Indonesian/Thailand spec setup!

However, seems to have a much larger pitch and almost half the coils for the length, as compared to the current setup. Hopefully that means a softer ride, though it cannot directly be inferred that way just from the two observations. Sebring's experience confirms it though!

If it's not a gas-charged set-up as in the other markets, Yamaha should look at providing this suspension as a recall, and not an optional extra.

These shock absorbers are actually Malay or Indonesia spec base model Aerox without the rear disc. Check the image

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Visited Spirit Yamaha in Pune on Saturday for a test drive of the Aerox. I am just over 6 feet tall and bit heavy on build. The riding position was pretty uncomfortable with the front fairing digging into my knees. If I moved back, there is no place for the pillion. The front floor board too is small for size 9 Woodlands I was wearing. Overall quite a disappointment as I was looking forward to owning one for the city rounds. Didn't bother to test ride as this is a major deal breaker for me.

Next on the list is either the Raz-r, Burgman or the NTorq

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Was too tempted by the specs and the look of the Aerox and went to Chandan Motors in Banashankari to get a feel for the Ergonomics of the scooter and book it if things panned out. But even at 5 foot 11 , the ergonomics felt cramped. The knees kept butting against the front fairing and for a guy with size 10 shoes/crocs, even the footboard felt cramped.

If I push further back on the seat, to avoid the knees from hitting the fairing, there is no place for a pillion and this was non negotiable since I planned to use this a daily to drop and pick my kid from school. Disappointed on all fronts. This scooter is a good replacement for anyone not wanting a bike for solo city rides. But it falls short when it comes to a comfy 2 up ride in the city.
Hope Honda comes up with the 150Adv, but knowing Honda, that is not going to happen or when it comes, it will be priced atrociously.

I am 5 feet 11 and I have no problem with the aerox also wear size 11 boots not woodlands though but its accommodating. No problem with my knees hitting though I sit far behind my pillion too is comfortable. Try riding with a pillion. Can check my recent ig reel here.

In other news friends are already installing parts on this. Check the pics below. Really good to see the modifications culture coming for scooters.

How he fixed this is beyond me! Is this a kit from Thailand? AEROX calls for some serious mods

This video explains the process, and by the looks of it, this kit is available in Philippines.

Wish these accessories will make their way to India soon.

I fitted Kriega OS-RACK LOOPS (Four rivets). And on to that mounts the Kriega 5 Liter US-5 DRYPACK (Water Proof). So you have quite a stable set-up and cant be pilfered. A versatile luggage option for the front, I must say!

Any pics of the rack? How is it mounted and how does the fuel filler work?

Looks like the seat cover saved an attack from a neighbourhood cat.

Thanks to the foam underneath - not even a scratch on the seats. Ordered a Tyvek bike cover and will think about changing the seat covers later if it looks bad.

This is the riveting system with loop (Which turns 360 degrees). The bag comes with the latch and attaches to that (Release that and you access the filler). 5L, 10L, 15L, these are all the options with KRIEGA. I haven't seen this done anywhere yet :-)

Same issue in my house, my activa seat is completely destroyed. I keep a thick cloth on the bike seat. Better if you fold it multiple times and keep.

How much is Tyvek? Plz share a link if the fit is perfect. For me, the Yamaha R15 cover has been perfect. And costs under Rs 650. On a separate note, I saw a YouTuber today with Top Box mounted. So the units have started arriving, looks like
