| ![]() Benelli India is gearing up to launch Hungarian 2-wheeler brand Keeway in India on May 17, 2022. ![]() Benelli has released a short teaser with the caption, "Hungarian supremacy on the way". However, it doesn't reveal the model that will be introduced in the Indian market. Reports suggest that Keeway could debut with a 500cc cruiser bike, as it could share components with Benelli products that are offered in India. It is also rumoured that the company might introduce a 280cc maxi-scooter. Keeway is owned by China's Qianjian Group, which is also the parent company of Benelli. | ![]() A 300-400CC Sports Tourer / ADV would be lovely. Of course, that’ll be too much to hope for. The Benelli TRK 251 is a sad affair. |

| ![]() These folks look like those people who had copied TVS's Zeppelin Cruiser Concept. Their 125 model sure looks like it. |

| ![]() https://www.keeway.co.uk/ Is this the right site link to the said company? If it is then I wonder what sort of people are running it. The spelling of "cruiser" is written as "curser" |

Senior - BHPian ![]() | ![]() Keeway ? name itself is a give away that it is Chinese. Never heard of a European name like that. We have had them selling as UM (American) and now Hungarian. I have nothing against any particular country but False claims(Hungarian??) are shady practices and I usually avoid such organisations. |

| ![]() The brands Keeyway, Benelli, CF Moto, UM Moto and all the lee's and wang's don't personally enthuse me, blame it purely intrinsic and part of it's due to price, questionable reliability and the knock off product set mentality, which the Chinese excel at. I'm not against Chinese portfolios expanding here in India, but when we have a better built, competitive product set available locally, spending significantly more for a knock-off doesn't make financial and moral sense, especially for the premium they command, which makes these brands a money pit on any given day. Not to diss the fact that these brands did and have some decent portfolio of bikes to cater the need of an enthused biker, when it comes to overall pleasure of ownership, these brands or their portfolios just don't cut it. Cheers! VJ |

| ![]() Honestly, I feel our forum is unnecessarily hyper critical of two wheelers from China. As with any other manufactured goods, there high quality offerings and low quality offerings from Chinese manufacturers who sell two wheelers. Brands like CF Moto and Benelli (to name a few) are doing quite well globally, and now they are poised to grown even further. There is a lot of positive buzz around their higher end offerings. Here is a 11,000 km review of the CFMoto 800. Even smaller capacity motorcycles from Chinese brands like SSR are doing well in the US. CF Moto has tied up with the popular channel 44 Teeth, to go racing in the UK in the super twin series. If we read international forums, we will find owners happy with the products that they have purchased. Now, that isnt to say that every two wheeler made in China is world class. There are two wheelers that are priced at bargain basement prices, to appeal to those on a very tight budget. These will understandably not come with the same quality as the others. However, these too are sold around the world. At the end of the day, you get what you paid for. If the 500 cc cruiser from Keeway shares its engine and other parts with the proven Benelli platform, then its a perfect recipe. Ive ridden the Benelli Leoncino 500 and its a really fun bike! Every manufacturer around the world is sharing platforms across multiple offerings to reduce costs. Benelli is doing the exact same thing here. |

| ![]() Did I read that right? Deliveries to begin from month end? No testing required for these products in India? Here we have likes of Tata and Mahindra running their new products over a million kilometres and still have niggling issues. Wonder how it is going to be with Keeway! All the best! I have seen majority of the city two wheelers in East Asian countries comprise of Maxi Scooters. The practicality of Maxi Scooter to a bike in cities is unmatched. This will pave the way for more launches of the same by other manufacturers. Good for consumers. | |
