Thanks for the info. If the actual bike that being launched is similar to the one in the picture and it does cost less significantly than that of the 350 CC retro bikes, I am definitely in for this bike. I have been on the look out for a commuter bike in the 150 to 200 CC segment with relaxed riding position. The only options were Unicorn or the H'ness 350 and classic 350, which are an overkill for my requirement. I did like the Apache 200 except for the sporty riding position. Hope TVS price it sensibly where On Road price is between 1.5 to 2 Lakhs.
The design of the Ronin is very similar to Yamaha FZX, but promises a 225 cc engine. Not sure how the bike will perform in the market, given today's two wheelers are quite expensive and with rising fuel costs.
Doesn't the engine look too small for a 223 cc? I hope it is at least 223 cc but feel it will be the Apache 160's engine.
An interesting design language for this new bike from TVS.
You can definitely see the inspiration from the BMW retro T9 from the front end while the rear stub fender mimics the Triumph speed twin to an extent.
This would be a perfect bike for city run abouts.
I was hoping for the 310 engine. But this doesn't look like it. Looks oil cooled. Hope it's not the same old 200 from the RTR.
Fat engine guard, ground clearance, and tyre pattern shout scramber. When can we have a nice dirt bike, TVS?
From those two pictures, the design looks rather uninspiring. TVS have tried to up the style quotient with the gold colored forks but the bodywork looks rather... simplistic. I would like to see what the actual bike looks like when it comes out but I really hope it looks better and is a CB350/RE350 competitor
Looks interesting. Looking for a light retro bike in the 200 cc range and not as expensive and heavy as the Highness / REs. Good ergonomics, exhaust note, refined and reliable engine at sub 2L OTR would be great.
This is a CB 350 RS competitor, but that segment hasn't fared well. Hope this launch sets the charts on fire. Should be interesting though
The motorcycle looks utterly boring and not one bit retro. If this is how its going to be, its going to be a big flop unless they price it very aggressively.
About its styling - blow some air into a Hero Splendor and make it bloat a bit, give it a quirky paint scheme, put USD shocks up front at a rake that's more befitting a chopper and there you have it - the new TVS Splendor, ahem, Ronin.
It won't find buyers unless it has BMW's 310cc engine. Customers of this segment want a bigger engine with good road presence so Raider's 125cc engine or Apache's 200cc engine won't make this bike exciting enough.

Why so much bashing and biased opinions and all based one leaked image. Even a Ducati scrambler will look similar , do we form opinions based on one leaked image.
As for TVS,
1. They don't have a vehicle that resembles a scrambler or Neo Retro and they seem to address this segment. In fact, I am happy that an Indian OEM is trying have vehicles in many segments compared to "who we all know".
2. Let the vehicle get launched, let TVS define the target audience and then we can form opinions on how good/bad the vehicle .
I love the design as well as the colour scheme. Waiting for official numbers. Hope it isn't smaller than 225cc.
Would've been happier if they had introduced a Zeppelin inspired motorcycle. But now it looks like the cruiser will forever remain a concept. :unhappy
Tank is bit like Victorino 250https://youtu.be/FNXx6AZdOWM

The leaked images are like that of a fancy commuter.
Does not have the presence of a 225cc bike. Reminds me of the yamahas rehashed 150
Oh TVS!!! Where is that adv we were waiting for all this while? Please surprise us tomorrow. :disappointed
Regards
A TVS loyalist
