I am really wishing it to be a Honda Forza, specifically the Forza 125 to compete with the hugely popular Burgman 125 and the Aprilia scooters. I am in the market for a new maxi style scooter and a Honda maxi scooter launch would really make my day.

Honda BigWing dropped a new teaser on the bike.
Its looking more and more like a completely new streetfighter bike

I am guessing they might be the cb/cbr 500 twins.

May be Rebel 300 or 500 but both are dull looking machines.

Honda has no clue when it comes to building hype before launch. Launch is in few days and no one has seen any test mules on road, no scoops etc.

Royal Enfield is a master here and when the product is finally launched we have people queuing up to book one.

It's both ways, they might not be able to build the hype, but with this day and age of scoops we live in, it is comendable that no one still has a finger on what they are about to launch. Not easy to achieve that in this day and age.

Thats what a vehicle launch is for, to fully showcase a vehicle instead of doing it in half-arse manner. Nobody can anticipate your vehicle if nobody knows about them especially your competitor. If they can they can build products to compete with them easily.

Honda has done this before with the CB350 and recently Suzuki did it with the V-Storm SX250. Royal Enfield and other Indian manufacturers do all the testing on road because they don't have the R&D facility and resources of foreign manufacturer.

But why achieve that? If they are really launching a CRF300, had there been scoops and tidbits about the impending launch, buyers of Himalayan or ADV390 might probably have held their purchase to see what Honda is bringing to the table. Now no one has any clue, no one will even have made their minds up, compared to something like the Hunter350 (which incidentally launches on 7th August) so target customers are already waiting with their cheque books.

Don't get me wrong here, I own CB350 anniversary edition and enjoying it. I chose this over classic 350 and interceptor 650.

If we look at the sales figures, we can see CB350 is no where near Royal Enfield. So all that testing on road does have some perks sometimes as riding is all about community feeling. Closed door hush hush selling might work well in premium/niche segments though. CB350 does feel like niche segment looking at their sales numbers but Royal Enfield sells more than the 150cc commuters.

I hope it is the new CB500X and at some good pricing. All reviews of CB500X (current version) seem to praise it a lot. And I have a feeling of it, as one bike does it all. The power seems to be good enough for our roads. I am not sure what new enhancements the new version will bring in, but I saw a few reviews on youtube mentioning of new CB500X launch soon to happen.

I also hope they launch the Rebels.

You are absolutely right. Nobody can anticipate your vehicle if nobody knows. But this applies only when you are bringing something new to the table. When your product is itself a response to compete with another product then what’s the point in hiding. CB350 was a response to RE Classic, not vice versa. Also, this whole keeping it secret stuff works in the R&D phase, not a week before product launch.

Honda test mules are incredibly tough to spot !

I was thinking Forza 300, but after the second teaser vid, I'm changing my pick to the CB500F. Hope Honda price it sensibly from the beginning (which has never happened). They are experts in coming up with a stupid launch price and then knocking off a lakh or two to move units.

Launches have just become a formality nowadays with so many teasers and spy images and what not before the actual launch.

This one is at least a real surprise and that's what makes me look forward to it.

I hope its CB500F priced under 5 lakh or if they want to be cost efficient then a completely new naked streetfighter based on CB350 engine priced between 2-2.5 lakh! :) Or just be Honda and launch a Forza maxi scooter priced upward of 6 lakh! lol:

Seeing how no test mules are reported, it is probably a bike based on an existing platform.

The words in the video are leaning towards a bike, a street bike. The only reason to be excited is it is a BigWing launch.
