The Apache 310RR which has 27.x torques still manages a 0-60 time quicker than the f77.
All the torque that OEMs mention is motor or engine torque. Wheel torque is couple of times that value. In case of UV, assuming the transmission is 1:9 ratio which is standard for 2-wheelers, we are talking almost 800Nm on the wheel. Even Ather puts 250Nm on the wheel in warp mode. For reference, a Duke 390 probably puts around 400Nm on the wheel. The main difference is engines come with a gearbox so the peak torque is available whenever you want to, at any speed and gear. In electric, it's only there in the beginning and drops of randomly. You can't choose, hence the instant initial acceleration but no mid end top end. UV itself takes 5.5 sec from 60-100 kmph which is far off from its 0-60 kmph time

Does anyone know how they are going to manage test rides?

The first revision had it, i think they dropped it for this new one. The charging port looks custom made one, which is a bummer.

Re: Ultraviolette F77 electric bike launched at Rs 3.80 lakh

This bike with 7kwh to 10kwh battery pack doesn't need to occupy a DC fast charger meant for a car, especially on a highway, these are the people who ride the bike for sake of riding and that's coming from a person who rides CBR650r.

If it charges at 1C it will need active cooling, so no point wasting the time for people driving cars with more occupants.

There should be chargers with multiple DC fast charger guns, so that a electric vehicle like this bike or a Tiago EV doesn't waste the true potential of the DC fast charger capabilities, the left over power can be used by other vehicles with a bigger battery.

Personally, the only interesting thing about this bike is the automatic transmission.

None of the bikes at this price~performance point have an automatic/DCT. And, it's not like Honda is going to launch a Rebel DCT or an ADV350 anytime soon.

I don't mind heel-toe shifters, but not interested in toe-only shifters, which is what almost all of the performance bikes have. I also don't care about EVs in general, and their delusion about saving the environment.

Heads up : Off Topic and no offense to electric two wheeler owners.

I think the new electric two wheeler guys are suffering from some sort of inferiority complex and are constantly trying to prove something on the roads.
Writing this because today (this time a guy on a cruiser looking electric bike), this is the nth time an electric vehicle rider is trying to provoke me (cruising peacefully on a Bullet) into a road race, the very moment I passed them. I always smile and think - what has got into this guy ?

The charging plug looks proprietory.
If so, charging at Zeon charging stations or other stations will not be possible. Riders will need a high amp plug to connect.
Hoping this is not the case and there would an adapter to allow CCS or CCS2 compatibility. Else, will be a tough one on any rides beyond its safe range.

It's not proprietary, it's following IEEE standard, but it's not type2 or CCS2. There is no fast charging support here, and that kinda rules out long distance riding.
