re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

I voted for VSTROM 250 as something substantial finally arrived in the 250 CC space from the Japs. It's a great combination of looks, straight-out performance and frugality.

Voted for the Ultraviolette F77 simply because it shows us what's possible. In terms of breaking new ground for performance EVs, looks, sportiness- all from a home-grown company with virtually no safety net. Yes the price is colossal- but that's not the point. Hunter, V Strom etc are rehashed versions of existing platforms, and will definitely sell more. But bike of the year in my view should be about what has moved the industry forward the most. And to me, that's the F77.

Voted for Hunter 350.
It is by no means a revolutionary product but it is the product that the market always wanted.
A reliable low-slung metal bike with a decent performance and good after sales.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

Bike of the year should Ideally for me go to the bike that is well priced, reachable to majority of the consumers and will be seen on the road. On paper Superbikes are definitely more enticing and more feature led, but I would not vote for them even when my heart desires to vote for Ducati Streetfighter V2.

For all practicality I am torn between the Vstrom 250 SX and Hunter, both for me are very good products. I have had the chance to ride them both and both left me thoroughly impressed. My vote eventually goes to Vstrom 250 SX for the verstality it brings to the table, you can ride it in the city and also take it offroad as easily. It won't put you to sleep on highway unlike XPulse 150, if Hero can get the Xpulse 300/400 next year, they will again be a fore runner for the award next year.

@crazy_driver maybe we should have atleast one subsection for superbikes, EV I think will still fit in overall segment!

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

RE Hunter gets my vote. It is unlike any RE before. It's compact, lighter, and nimbler. The riding geometry is spot on for a city bike. The new 350 engine and platform are also very refined now.

I have ridden the bike and didn't find it to my taste but I know people who have ridden it and loved it. If I had to buy a premium motorcycle and share it with my wife, I'd buy the Hunter. The Ronin looks confused about what it wants to be. For about the same price, you can get an RE and access to their ride calendar.

Voted for RE Hunter. Honestly nothing excited me for this year. Most of the new launches were the typical Chinese bikes which will never be seen on our roads.

Had high hopes on TVS Ronin and it turned out to be one confused ugly design.

RE Hunter on the other hand is a fresh new take by Royal Enfield and different from their typical retro classic offerings and is targeted at youth. So my vote goes to Royal Enfield.

Wondering how many of you here are struggling like I do to cast a single vote here!! Keeping practicality of ownership aside, below are the ones I love for aesthetics, but finding very hard to pick one beauty among them

Hero Vida V1
TVS Ronin
RE Hunter
Yezdi Scrambler
VStrom 250 SX
Benelli TRK 251
BMW G310RR
Keeway Vieste 300
Keeway Sixties 300i
KTM RC 390
Zontes 350X
Zontes GK350
Tiger Sport 660
Suzuki Katana
HD Nightster

Even if ownership practicality considered, the list cannot be shortened further; perhaps a checkbox with multiple options?
Hero Vida V1
TVS Ronin
RE Hunter
VStrom 250 SX
BMW G310RR
KTM RC 390
Tiger Sport 660
Suzuki Katana

You've turned me CrAzY @CrAzY dRiVeR!!

Dang!

This is one list that needs a NOTA!

The largest list of repeat products. the only unique(not in a nice way) product seems the Ronin.

I pick the Vida as it is a big step for Hero and it future.

Voted for Ultraviolette F77. The company first showcased its bike 3 years back, then took feedback, and improved upon it. The present bike that is being launched is a much better than the prototype , which had already impressed most of the journos.
Instead of being in a hurry to launch a half baked product, they decide to wait it out, iron out the issues, work on the feedback and then bring a much better finished product.

Though its too early to say how good it is, the effort put in on the bike is appreciable.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

I voted for Yezdi Scrambler, because I feel that this bike was quite unique in its conception and execution. Although almost every important part of this bike is a carryover, at the time of voting I felt that there was an unique experience to be had in this bike which is distinct when compared to ADVs, or nakeds or Dual sports even.

But I do have to admit that Hunter was my initial choice as I was browsing through the list. The Hunter becomes truly lightweight, it will get my vote.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

I voted for Suzuki V Storm 250.

My Reasons:

+Has an awesome road-presence. Looks dope
+Adequate power for those city/highway rides. Can do 100-110 cruising without breaking a sweat.
+ Comfortable seating for both rider and pillion
+ Frugal & feature loaded(dual channel abs, bluetooth connectivity etc),
+ Excellent GC(200+mm) which helps negotiating potholes and unscientific speed-breakers easily
+ Priced okay-ish. Not absolute VFM like Xpulse but not too pricey either.

If it had a longer suspension resulting in a slightly better ride quality over bad roads, I would have picked it up in a heartbeat. Still hope Suzuki comes in with a suspension upgrade and I will be all IN for this. If not, the wait continues for Xpulse 300

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

If ignore the ones I haven't seen you n flesh and the ones that cater to niche / SBK segment, the list is fairly small.

Was very close to voting for the Multi V2. Ducati as a manufacturer has grown by leaps and bounds. Also, they don't leave India out of their plans!!

But voted eventually for Hunter cause RE has been doing a Ducati with new engines and platforms for a much wider base. I really liked the Hunter - it's something that a Scram could not be.

No second thoughts here, voted for the Ultraviolet F77.

Even though it is expensive, first proper electric motorcycle.

re: Team-BHP 2-Wheeler of the Year, 2022. Edit: It's the Royal Enfield Hunter 350!

Voted for VStrom 250

Close contenders

RE Hunter: Cool, easy handling and good looking Bike, but too small for my taste

TVS Ronin: Excellent product with great VFM credentials but presented poorly with confused identity

Yezdi Adventure: Chunky, Rugged ADV but poor fit and finish

On the watch list for Exciting new comer: the X-Cape 650: Too new to comment and not test driven

Why VStrom 250?: A good allrounder with road presence, ground clearance, well put together and exciting looks. Easy to ride and excellent, reliable engine.
