The Suzuki e-Burgman looks identical to the Burgman Street. It measures 1,825 mm in length, 765 mm in width and 1,140 mm in height. The e-scooter weighs 147 kg.

The e-Burgman is a Class-2 light electric scooter. It is powered by an AC synchronous electric motor that has a peak output of 5.36 BHP and 18 Nm. The lithium-ion battery pack enables the e-scooter to cover 44 km on a single charge when ridden at 60 km/h.

The Suzuki e-Burgman will compete with the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak. Honda recently announced its plans to launch two new electric scooters in India. The first model will be equipped with a fixed battery and could be called Activa Electric, while the second model will feature a swappable battery setup.

44km sounds incredibly low, especially when compared to Ather/Ola/iQube ranges. Wonder whom this is aimed at, or if that figure is a preliminary test figure and they're planning to increase the battery capacity before launch.

Also 147kg?! That is 150cc motorcycle weight territory. Can't see that being a selling point for what is essentially a city runabout.

What a lost opportunity to name it the "burg-e-rman"

Anyhow if 44km is the claimed range then I wonder what the real world range would be !!

147 kilos ! Damn, my R15 V4 has a dry weight of 142 kilos. The range is at 60kmph which is what a city scooter does most of the time, hence 44kms is pretty low.

Looks like the info is incomplete or wrong. 147kgs and 44kms seem impractical to be considered.

Best to wait for the official launch

Re: Suzuki unveils e-Burgman electric scooter ahead of India debut

It has nominal power of less then 1kw which is chinese scooter category. Every other low priced EV scooter like IQube, OlA S1 Air has more range and motor power.

So not sure from where bikewale pulled up those specs, probably from a scooter specifically made for countries with strict scooter laws which limit power of the motor and speed.

Remember a vespa EV sold in EU is less powerful then a TVS iQube and even many chinese scooter kits but cost atleast 5 times more then a iQube.

This will not compete with anything in India, may be these specs are fine for some developed country.

I think this is an oxymoron(ic) statement, unless one perceives light to visibility!!

This will be DOA. Why does Suzuki even bother to launch such a product is beyond me. 100 km per charge is the bare minimum today. Ola and Ather and moving to 150 km per charge.
