Speed 400 is peppier than 650 twins and the KTM 390 under 100 kmph. He mentions that in the video and the torque to weight ratio under different rpm’s tell the same story.

Even One Triumph Naraina, Delhi seems not sure about test rides schedule and said it will start by next week.

Checked with them on exchanging my 15 year old Apache to avail scrapping benefit, they simply refused to deal in old bikes even if it is less than 15yrs old.

Thanks for your efforts! I guess bigger markets including the home market of Pune get priority for test rides. Ahmedabad doesn't see adoption of premium bikes commensurate to its population.

Deliveries in 2nd half of August sounds good if they actually have a line of sight into production.

++ That price leaves a bit of a buffer for me to add accessories.

Well, that is the problem with LED headlights/bulbs. They look bright or pretty but seldom serve the purpose of illuminating the road ahead. If you check the video, oncoming cars are flashing their headlights because the bike's light is hitting straight in their eyes but might not be illuminating the road for the rider- at least from the video is not visible.

For a city ride, they are ok, but for our highway, one must go for AUX lights for visibility.

Any reason for differential pricing for bullet indicators? It cannot be that the wiring will be longer for the rear one versus the front one.

I will go for an engine guard and probably knee pads. Moreover, accessories price is in the vicinity of Royal Enfield. What do you say?

The absolute required accessory for me is the radiator guard (unless standard) and the lower engine guard. Maybe one can use universal engine/frame sliders in place of lower engine guard. We can wait for all other aftermarket accessories.

Here is my take about Triumph Speed 400 accessories:

Basic bar end mirrors, non-metallic sump guard & (upper) engine guard are standard.

I am definitely going to opt for Radiator Guard & Tank Pad. Also will preorder Kriega USD fork seal covers ~Rs. 1800 <https://www.lazyassbikers.com/products/kriega-fork-seal-covers-kwefk> so that I can fit them in the showroom itself.

As per my riding style, I dont think I will be needing Knee Pads (this isnt a cornering machine like Duke 390) & Sump guard (dont plan to do any sort of off-tarmac rides); although they would be a good addition.

Lower engine bars are not necessarily required (rather go for engine casing protectors - again a must have only if you plan to do any sort of off-tarmac rides).

Opting for OEM Bullet led front & rear indicators and Double barrel silencer will be a personal preference (I am not going to opt them right away). IMHO coated screen & its fittings are also not required.

Yes, prebooking amount is now raised up to Rs. 10,000.

IMHO, they should've kept this figure right from the start. This would have prevented many not-serious buyers to prebook and thus avoiding the inflated booking hype created around these bikes.
