I hope the pictures do justice to the work done by the studio. For anyone’s reference the studio is Turtle Wax Car Care Studio by Throttle, Aazadpur, Delhi
Congratulations, Himanshu. Your Triumph looks ravishing in blue and have a safe ride on your bike.

Could you please send me his contact details ? I also want to get this done on my CB350 RS. Thank you.

A humble request from my side.
Hi Pranav, you need to go to the Triumph India website's desktop version. Extended Warranty is listed under Owners > Total Care.

I have linked the PDF here.

Congratulations Himanshu. the bike is looking so hot. I'm waiting for my blue to be delivered soon (hopefully, courtesy Keerthi )

Just a question. Had graphene coating gone up in prices? Just a year before when I was getting quotes for my Kia sonet, the prices was around 20k. Was thinking should be 1/5th the price for a bike which has less panels.

Not everyone out there is here on TeamBHP.

Edit: I have not received this message. So I think they now know that I have already received mine.
So, I get a call early this afternoon requesting to make payment within the next 3 days to get the bike delivered in the next 7-10 days. When I checked if the person was from Keerthi, the caller identified herself calling from Khivraj!

When I informed her that my booking was with Keerthi, she said that one can walk in to Khivraj, easily transfer their booking, pay the balance amount (after reducing the initial 10K booking amount) and additionally get the 10K introductory discount as well!!

Keerthi sends me a message that bikes are available and at 10,000 discount price, and you're saying there is demand? Something is not right here

There is a lot of demand but there have been a lot of cancellations in the initial 10k lot for a few reasons:
  1. A LOT of people prebooked just for the sake of it since it was just 2k to put down. Many of these people were just not serious and were window shopping.
  2. The speed has shown to be a very good product so people who really want to, have opted to wait for scrambler (acc to Pune SA, almost half the cancellations have been transfers to scrambler).
  3. The new Dukes might have pulled some people with bigger budgets or bigger appetites for high revs.
These reasons, mainly point 1, has caused showrooms having to hold the first 10k folks' spot in the line with almost no commitment while customers who are actually interested in buying it have to wait for these people to make up their minds. That is also why we got a deadline of 15th September from Triumph. The showrooms have been sticking to the list to an extent but it is not viable anymore.

Having a booking amount of 5-10k would have reduced this problem, but it is what it is. They had to get the hype so that people who have never even heard of the brand sit up and take notice.

In my opinion, they gave people approx 2 months to test ride and decide. If they still dont want to decide, it is fair to re-open the offer to others. Doesn't mean there is no or low demand. Walking into any showroom will show you that. It is absolute pandemonium on the weekends with 10-20 deliveries, first services and even more new bookings.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

The signs are telling. Bajaj Triumph are not seeing a conversion commensurate with the original surge in interest. The Speed 400 will need viral marketing campaigns and celebrity endorsement to get on more people's radars.

Even among motorcycling enthusiasts, it might be perceived as an expensive Indian bike with a foreign badge, rather than an affordable bike from a premium foreign brand. Brand recognition will hopefully grow with time. It has to grab some mindshare from the RE Hunter and Classic apart from the Dukes.

It may also need the real big Triumph bikes to get some visibility like Harleys, quite converse to my initial expectation that it will draw more buyers to the bigger bikes.

Let's hope that it grows quickly in popularity. After all, we need a larger footprint of dealers and service centers.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

I still feel the market is with ADVs (TVS, are you listening?). The initial hoopla is waning. Customers are taking a long hard look now before committing. If Triumph had launched Tiger 400, the demand couldn't be met for years on end, is my take

So you are saying that people transferring to Khivraj are getting 20k total discount. Doesn't seem like it.

The SA I know from Khivraj had mentioned that a list was sent to them with some bookings initially made with Keerthi to be delivered by Khivraj. And this was sent by Triumph.

Can you confirm about the additional 10k discount you are mentioning about.

Sorry read it wrong. Yes correct it will be the 10k booking amount plus the 10k inaugural discount.

I don’t know about that. Maybe. There’s decent margins on these coatings. So sometimes some people get a little extra greedy and ask for more, you know treat the customers differently based on their perception. The guy I dealt with seemed honest about things (also because my wife works at Turtle Wax and he knows he can’t dupe me ). He’s relatively new in the business so he’s more focused on clients and is a straight shooter. I’d readily recommend him to anyone who’s looking for detailing services in Delhi. Plus every bike/car is different. Bikes have fewer panels but I got almost everything (that could be) coated.

I would suggest you use a secondary phone for navigation. Using your costly phone for navigation mounted on the handlebar of the bike will definitely damage the Camera OIS in the long run. I am telling you this from my personal experience.

I found about this issue only when researching the bobo mount. I have been using phones on cheap mounts for so many years without any issue but reading about this has me worried, to an extent. My current phone has OIS and I have been using it for almost 1.5 years on a pretty simple bicycle style mount on my apache .Although, I have only really travelled in the city for short distances.
I will be using a secondary phone for rides that are more than half an hour long from now on, especially going out of the city. Carrying two phones for shorter rides is not viable and neither is buying a tank bag because I dont do rides often. Thanks for the heads up anyway!!

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Hey guys, I made full payment on 5th Sept in Keerthi Triumph. As of now no updates, no insurance or RTO update also. It’s been exactly 18 days. They aren’t picking up calls. Should I be worried ? Anyone facing the same issue ?
