Since you have already paid the full amount, it would be sensible to go to the dealership yourself and find out.

I had made the payment on the evening of 4th Sept and after multiple followups i received the insurance details on 19th. I received the OTP from VAAHN for the registration today and a lady called me from Keerthi asking for the same. I am told that by Monday the registration will be done and I should be able to take the delivery by Thursday or Friday next week. I reached out to the manager by the name of Ranju and after contacting him there was some development. You can try calling him on 7406600077

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Meanwhile, Triumph keeps sending messages to "Grab the inaugural discount! Only a few spots left!" (paraphrased).

People are not falling head over heels to buy a nearly Rs. 3 lacs bike that hasn't proven itself yet. Imagine the boardroom scene.

I guess the scene in the Hero Harley boardroom would be even more entertaining.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Hey hey, I had done the full payment on 2nd Sept, and I got the RTO OTP just today. Yours should be coming along in maybe 2-3 days as well. Else I would suggest you to visit the showroom. For me, both my insurance and RTO steps got done the same day(14th and 22nd) I got in touch with SA Tarun and asked for an update.

Even I received the OTP from VAAHN today. I think following up by visiting the showroom would be best. I myself had to do it twice. But helps move things faster. Or try calling the number given above by silverblaze. You can also try reaching out to this lady (+91 77956 54590). She always received the calls and has been very helpful.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Folks, any guesses on the 400X (Scrambler) pricing? How much of a increase could it be from the 2.33L pricing of the Speed 400? I have a 400X booking and I am waiting for the price reveal but the FOMO of the current S400 pricing is getting real. I am guessing a 30K ex-showroom increase at max over the S400 but if it's going to be a lot more then I might just go get the Speed 400 now considering that they are still offering the 10K discount for new bookings.

I dont think anyone, let alone Triumph themselves, expects them to sell 10k bikes a month. They hadnt even planned for production to meet that. The 10k game was a marketing pitch to gather attention and predict demand.

Expecting a 3L bike to get those kinds of sales in the first month is pretty unreasonable. Hell, only RE gets those numbers and Speed 400 isnt even a competitor to those bikes like the CB twins are.

KTM 390s are comparable and even those have significantly lower sales (~1k per month). Even considering launch queues and hype, anything over 5k would be optimistic for the first month imo. But that still makes the bike a runaway success considering Triumph has started from scratch product and market wise.

Sales numbers from June/July 23. At 5k, the Speed 400 would be above the Honda twins, which would be remarkable. Notice the numbers for KTM and REs old Electra/Bullet as well.

I agree with your point, @lazyrev. I guess our initial FOMO might have been a bit unfounded.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Anyone got delivery from Khivraj e-city? I made the full payment on 12th September and I was promised delivery by 18th. I have called the SA couple of times as I did not get any updates. I had to call and message them an hundred times to get the tax invoice for insurance. After multiple follow up 26th is the new delivery date. SA claims the delay is from RTO and Vahan server issues. Not sure how far it’s true. Triumph needs to train their folks

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

How is the throw of the headlight during the night? Especially when facing the stubborn high-beam abusers of North India? My friend has almost finalized the Speed 400 but he couldn't test the headlight through during his test drive which was conducted during the day. He does a lot of night rides and hilly rides. Any fair input is appreciated.

I drove back home after delivery of my triumph speed 400 around 8:00 PM and it was dark. At high beam the spread is nice and wide. Made me feel more at ease between cars and other vehicles. Lends a certain street presence too.

Finally, this guy picked up and assured me that I’ll get the bike within one week. Today I might get the RTO otp sms. That’s what he told. Thanks for the number.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Hi guys. I paid for my bike on 16th September from One Triumph, Gurgaon. The sales team says I will get the bike before 27th. Yesterday I got the insurance details as well. Can’t wait for my first bike.
The sales executives say the temporary number would be DL registered but the registration would be for Gurugram only. Will update ASAP for Gurgaon folks.

Re: Triumph Speed 400 Review

Hey guys,
I currently have a Honda hornet 160r. I have to sell it because of some issues and I'm currently looking for a new bike.

I mainly use this bike for commuting daily to my office and gym. I'm planning to go for some short (200km/day) weekend trips too. I don't know much about motorbikes and took test drive of speed 400, Honda CB highness interceptor & hunter. I didn't like hunter. The highness didn't feel like much of an upgrade from my current bike. I liked both the Interceptor & speed 400. I don't think I will change my bike. It's for the long term.

I'm worried about getting speed 400 because it's a completely new bike and I don't have the time to wait for the new batch. Is taking a completely new bike worth the risk? I love riding the interceptor but it's heavy. I need to park my bike in tight spaces and I think the weight of the bike might be an issue there. There is a cost issue too. Even though I can afford it, i don't think it's worth the extra price.
