Dio or Activa

hi Gurus
My friend i planning to buy a 2 wheeler ..
Avg is main concerned as daily running is upto 20km
which one will be better Dio or Activa..
I heard that Activa is pretty bad with avg. Is it true??

Friend, Stick to Activa. Avg is same for both as they run the same motor. Dio looks cool, but pain to ride. Get back pain pretty soon.

SO very little to choose between the 2. Style no comfort- Dio, Comfort, no style-Activa

Activa has a metal body, Dio has a fibre body.

Hence Activa is heavier, which may result in lesser FE compared to Dio, but offers comfortable ride.

Yeah has an approximately 5 km difference in FE.And the handling of the dio is way better than activa while taking U turns,cutting in between traffic and the pickup is better and yeah the headlight is also more powerful.
Downside is the rear seating position is not as comfortable as the activas and ladies sitting on one side will find it even more uncomfortable.

What is it going to be used for? Commute to office,college,shoping, etc.....

As for mileage there are 100cc motorbikes which come for the same price as the Dio and Activa and are much more fuel efficient.

Dio gives better mileage. But it's slanting seat is uncomfortable to sit on. Activa has a good resale value.

For comfort, take STAR City, or Splendor NXG. These scoots have average seating, unlike the super scoot Blaze. Bikes can take pune roads better.

Dio/activa are ditto same except the headlight/body - plastic/metal. So not much average difference. Both would have about ~45-50 kpl. Splendor is better anyday

If you are riding mostly single and need good mileage.. then go for Scooty Pep. Its just 10 cc below the Hondas.

go in for the activa, its more comfortable, metal body, bigger. ride is much better then the dio

Active, in my opinion, i have ridden both as a rider as well as the pillion & found the activa a lot more comfortable & easier to ride.

We own both Activa and Dio.
Activa is better than Dio in all the aspects except looks, Dio looks much better than Activa.

Activa has metal body pannels. With Dio, even in minor accidents you have to change the entire broken pannel (which is not cheap). Activa rides way better on bad roads and handling is also much better than Dio. Activa also has slightly better FE.

both vehicles have the same engine but activa has better resale value....its your decision both are good

Heard Dio isn't that good when you compare with Activa. It got the looks though.

Activa it has to be according to me, though the Dio looks good, the Activa is more comfortable. It's super relaible, I have one, which has done about 14k and it just keeps going, even though it's not looked after much.

Active according to me is the most trust worthy non geared scooter.
