Scoop! All-new Hero Destini 125 leaked ahead of debut

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch a heavily revised version of the Destini 125 in India. In fact, the first image of the new scooter has already leaked.

The 2024 Hero Destini 125 gets a redesigned bodywork. The large triangular turn indicators have been replaced with smaller LEDs, set inside a new copper trim piece. The same copper highlights can be seen on the mirrors, side panels and around the taillights.

Black Pearl is likely to be one of the colour options that will be available on the Destini 125, while brown panels and seat cover add some contrast. The scooter has an LED headlamp, a rear grabrail with a pillion backrest, alloy wheels and a silver heat shield for the exhaust.

The 2024 Hero Destini 125 could be powered by the same 124.6cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the current model. This unit produces 9 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm @ 5,500 rpm and is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

While the telescopic front suspension will be carried over, the new model is expected to get a front disc brake.

Thanks to the Team-BHP fan (he prefers to remain anonymous) who sent this image in. Heartfelt gratitude for sharing it with other enthusiasts via this Team-BHP share page!

Hero MotoCorp teases new-gen Destini 125 scooter ahead of launch

Hero MotoCorp has released a new teaser of its all-new Destini 125 scooter.

As seen from the teaser, the upcoming scooter looks quite different from the outgoing version. This includes an all-new headlight with integrated DRLs, a redesigned front apron with small indicators surrounded by chrome and a black panel towards the top which also features the Hero logo. The mirrors are also finished in chrome, H-shaped tail lights at the rear, new alloy wheels and what looks like a digital instrument cluster.

The new-gen Hero MotoCorp Destini could continue to be powered by the same 125cc single-cylinder engine. Although, expect a few tweaks and upgrades to be made. The current unit produces 9 BHP and 10.4 Nm, paired with a CVT.

The Destini 125 is the Hero's flagship scooter. Once launched in the Indian market, the Destini 125 will take on the likes of the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Access 125 and the TVS Jupiter 125.

Re: Scoop! All-new Hero Destini 125 leaked ahead of debut

Second Gen Hero Destini offers an impressive 6.7 KW (9 BHP) max power output which is a tinge more than what the market leader in the segment, Honda Activa has to offer.

However, nowadays rather than engine technology offering, the USP has been more in the Smart offerings like Bluetooth connectivity, keyless start and lock, on the go navigation, tangy color options etc. which is a welcome move for scooters riders.

On the other front, Yamaha Fascino offers an hybrid option with Smart Motor Generator (SMG) System for power top-up assistance on the go which, IMO, sets Fascino a notch higher in engine technology in the scooter segment.

The Fascino's also the lightest in the segment, I think, but a little less practical. It's been the perfect ride for for my college-going sister in-law, but I wouldn't get it because of the smaller seat and storage.

Re: Scoop! All-new Hero Destini 125 leaked ahead of debut

Is it just me thinking like this?

Activa sells on reliability, Jupiter on practicality, Access on powerfully sweet engine, Rayzr on mileage, Destini looks like a typical "me too" without any USP!
