Which fuel to use in a Blaze?

Hi all!

I have recently purchased the Kinetic Blaze. I wanted to know which fuel is mest suited for this vehicle?

Out of these, which one is the best (or are there any better ones?) gives me the best mielage and good performance?

Xtra Mile, Xtra Premium, Speed, Speed 97, TurboJet and Power.

Also, I am getting around 36KMPL at present (did not complete the 1st service yet). Is the mielage OK and what mielage can I expect after the 1,2,3rd services?

I really thank you for replying

Kumar

No point using high octane fuel like Speed 97 unless its an SBK you are riding. The engine will run smoother with high octane fuel but necessarily may not increase performance (noticeably) and FE. I suggest you use Shell regular as IMO its the best in quality in comparison to other regular fuels. Or use normal fuel with injector/carburettor cleaners. There are several threads on this subject. Please use the serch function.

Isnt Xtra mile and TurboJet diesel fuel? how can you use diesel in a petrol engine? AFAIK, FE will increase after the first service.

Thanks for replying!

As for the list of fuels, i just copy pasted from another thread (and i don't know that much about the brands-so I couldn't tell they were diesel)

I searched the forums but couldn't find anything specific about the Blaze (but I will do seach before posting though )

cool

congrats on the Blaze, its a fine machine.. your mileage will depend quite a bit on what speed u ride at, traffic conditions, how much load on vehicle etc. usually mileage improves after 1000km, first service etc. take good care!

Hi kumar,
I too own a blaze, and after all my experience, I found the regular unleaded fuel to be the best. See that you always fill at a good station. Frequenlty, u can use extrapremium fuel, which will clean any carbon deposits due to adultrated fuel.

Happy riding .

What ever you do, don't fill up Xtra Mile and Turbo Jet, even though they are premium diesel, I don't think they will do any good for your Blaze!

Apart from that, just fill up normal petrol. Once in a while use Speed or Premium to help clean the carb.

my advice is fill ordinary or xtra premium. nothing else besides that. I've had bad experience with Speed and ... with the Blaze.

Thanks for all your replies guys

I drive at 30-50Km/h normally and usually im the only one who rides it. The vehicle has done 900Kms till now and it is giving a ~36km/l mielage (or meterage?!!!)

As you said, im just running it on normal unleaded with an ocassional speed fuel.

My experience with Speed and Xtrapremium :

Speed : Gives more power than standard premium petrol (any brand). Makes the engine run slightly rough ...

Xtrapremium : Makes engine smoother and runs cooler. Does not give as much power as Speed.

I used to fill up my Caliber and now Pulsar, with Speed. Once I switched to Xtrapremium, I have never looked back.

Just my 2 cents ...
