It has the design language from the KTM GP bike and the new RC990R. I like the current RC but this one is an upgrade.

I'm not a fan of the current gen RC. I think it looks too bulky without a good reason. Its headlight is too big for its frame.
The first gen, however, is a pretty sight. Every time I see one on the road, I easily get distracted. Gen 3 seems to be going back in that direction. From the spy shots, it looks like a baby RC 8C.
2025 KTM RC 390 posts moved to a new thread
The RC has a weird product cycle, because of the introduction of the new engine. The 1st gen RC was on sale for close to 8 years. If this bike is launched by the end of 2025, that will mean the 2nd gen RC was on sale for a period of 3 years. This isnt the case with the Duke and Adventure. The ADV was launched in 2020 which makes perfect sense for the 2nd gen to arrive 5 years later. The Duke has a refresh cycle every 4 or 6 years( based on the gen 1 and 2). But rhe RC is in a very weird position.
Nevertheless, I am actually waiting for this bike to launch ASAP, and take the crown from the Aprilia RS457 in track performance:cool:
The RC had no real competition from the time it was launched till the introduction of the Aprilia. I want the RC to reclaim its crown on the track, and I am sure it is possible with the new engine and other advancements. Besides, the bike looks pretty good in those spyshots.

Believe the second generation suffered as the road tests were disrupted by Covid lockdowns.
Looks like this generation should be ready by EICMA next year - One year after the ADV and two years post the Duke.
