So today is the D-day. Many have hopes pinned to the launch, the price, tech specs et all. Lots of rumours about the pricing already. Right from sub 2L to over 3L. Lets hope its somewhere in the middle. BAL does not have too much of a history with wrong pricing. Fingers crossed. Trying to wind up work before 1PM launch time.

Thats ok. few are waiting to see the bike. Imagine the rush once the price is music to everyone's ears.

R1 - 1000cc - 180 bhp - 12 lakhs
Ninja - 250cc - 33 bhp - ?

Should cost 2.2 lakhs. Power to Price ratio

Should cost 3.0 lakhs. CC to price ratio.

We vote for Power

In other way take example of R15 for 1.1L add another cylinder for say 25K, add few more for bigger crank case and extra strong gears and clutch system 20K add another 20K for fatter tyres and better suspension and chasis so all together its coming to max 175 and its easily doable within 1.5L

Ohh and what about BAL margin ? add another 50K to that.
Patience guys, just over 2 hours and another chapter would be written in the Indian biking history. Not to mention the realization/materialization of this over 2 year old thread. Ken-ya beleive that ???

But the 1000CC is a CBU where as the 250 is a CKD,
That is a Big factor.
All said and done though I think it will be in excess of 2.5L

Then it should be cheaper then that. CKD attracts less taxes then CBU right?
