To me, that is motorbiking. This baby Ninja will sound more less same as Hyosung Comet. Nothing exciting here.
Kawasaki or for that matter any of the big 4 dont have a inline 4 cylinder 250cc bike, so how do you think Bajaj would launch it?.
Kawasaki had the Balius II but I don't think its in production anymore.

Ninja 250 is probably the best bike for India as of yet, mebbe Honda could launch the CB400 (now this has an inline 4 engine).

Too bad Bombay has just 1 probiking outlet, I am dying to get a feel of this Kwacker.

Just import a 599cc ZX-6R engine and stuff it into the 250R frame. It will fit with a bit of coaxing

[quote=west;1534824]Are you from india.. India we consider 2 cylinder bike a porsche boxter. 4 cylinders on 250 is like lamborgini..If you want 4 cylinders on 250cc wait for 15 more years..I will buy those kind of bikes for my grnad son, till then let me enjoy this

West. I am very much from India. From small town of Vizag. U r the west. or from west. Not me. Please spare me the harsh treatment. tell me i am not entitled to my opinion and i will keep quiet. i find absolutely nothing exciting about a 2-cyl bike except of course an RD 350 for diff reasons. i will rather go buy a used 4-cyl bike and have a blast as long as it lasts for the same amount.

hiren. u r right. i am sorry. kawa does not have a 250cc 4-cyl bike. i wish honda had launched a 4-cyl 250 cc bike along with cbr1000 and cb1000.

Sagar, i have nothing against any one, it was just a contridiction of situation in AP. You sound like 4 cylinder bikes are very common in vizag or in AP. I hardly see a sports bike in here, and you are talking abt 4 cylinder on 250 cc .. that was my point.

What huge advantage does a 4 cylinder engine have over a 2 cylinder engine in real world terms?

Considering we are only talking about 250cc here , i don't think it would make that much of a difference! Please explain.

Smaller cylinders, smaller moving parts, higher rpm's, more power.. You get the drift. However, does anybody have a 4 cylinder 250cc? I would guess not.

Remember everyone, the Ninja 250 is designed to be a low-cost motorcycle above everything. That would preclude any notion of a 4-cylinder engine or any expensive, high performance hardware. The 250R is a fun bike, but it's made to be an affordable, entry-level machine.

Its indeed a pocket rocket and a bit affordable too (strictly comparing it with sports bikes only). Congrats to all the buyers

Hey guys, I was going through Google when I came across the xbhp site where they had posted an article about the 2010 Hyosung GTR 250, looks quite a meaty bike and some say that Hyosung might even launch it by Jan next year, any one to clear this? I mean if its a rumor or reality. Certainly the GTR 250 can be compared to the baby Ninja.

The Ninja is a better bike in every regard. There was actually a test that compared the two, I'll need to look for it.

I think HYOSUNG is history in India.

KINETIC does not exist anymore. And MAHINDRA are more into SYM. They may not take backward steps to meet up with HYOSUNG again

The NINJA is a cult bike. I've been hearing the NINJA name since childhood. Its got a chassis of a 600 with the mileage and drivability of a 250. Its inbetween a full blown 4 cylinder and a single cylinder.

Take away the price, and it is a very competent bike.

Worst case scenario, it costs as much as an ALTO. 1 lakh downpayment and 5000 a month gives you the NINJA for life

no fuel meter, no digital speedo, no chrome, no main stand, no fat tyres....
Lovely logic West. Enjoy the bike and the experience.

This bike is a perfect mix of speed agility and value for money.

I see you dont really care for the fuel meter, digital speedo, chrome, main stand, fat tyres, saree guard or the top speed of only 170kmph.

Waiting for your report! Congrats.

Hey West congrats on the delivery news. am still waiting for any news about the delivery, the probiking guys mentioned some issue with the RTO clearance in Mumbai and pune, and because of the Diwali week its delayed a bit. Hoping to receive an update from them before the weekend and hopefully some news about the delivery.

Am jealous, anyways enjoy the ride. Cheers.
