Hi guys,
Bajaj is all set to introduce the Bajaj Eliminator with the Pulsar 180 engine. They have successfully mounted the P180 engine on the Eliminator. If the Elim-180 is put into production, it could be priced at around Rs. 60000/- which is almost as much as the Yamaha Enticer (Disc Brake version). And if this happens, the Enticer is sure to be Eliminated. A 180cc cruiser for 60000 is really a true value for money option. The only thing Bajaj has to sort out is the quality problems associated with the Eliminator.

The only thing not mentioned here is whether the 180cc motor will be the old 180 motor or the DTS-I version. Whatever it is , the Eliminator is surely gonna find any buyers and Bajaj could have another winner in its hands. Now guys, imagine a P150 motor-ed Eliminator. How much will that cost? 50K?? I can see Bajaj smiling all the way.

Well, that a really good move!! Eliminator, i always felt, was over-priced and under powered. Now with the Pulsar Engine things could change a lot.

so that means resale value down for our bikes......

never expected this move from bajaj, i am extremely unhappy with it, i paid a lac to have a bike which was exclusive and not one that every tom ,dick and harry could afford

plus now i have to contend with the boasting of the guys who buy this elim
"hey addi , i bought a better elim than yours for just 60k" type guys

they better give us owners some gifts or something to make us a little bit happy

ps:v12 sent u a pm abt this almost 4 days back

Pardon my ignorance about bikes, but what size is the current Eliminator engine? BHP? Is it fast?

How much of a compromise (or is it) will this Pulsar 180 engine be? So much for a 40% cut in price?

ya the elim engine is quite a smooth one. I've never had any starting problems with mine even after starting it after 2-3 weeks.
What I feel is that there will be a lot of compromise on the quality of the Elim if the price is reduced so much. The present Elim which costs 96k (Mumbai) has so low quality compared to the earlier lot.

P.S. : Hey aadix, i'm searching for pics of modded Elims. Gimme some time.

hey v12, no hurry bud!!!! want some inspiration and ideas, so thats the reason i asked for the pics

anyways the mods i planned are , bigger tyres (150 in rear, 110 in front, no alloys:tooo expensive, look cheap,)
new exhaust, similar to the yamaha road star warrior (it'sthe last one in aci exhaust test)
i have one doubt will this exhaust damage the enigne???

can i fit enticers foot boards to the elim???(dont want any major mods to fit it)

add some thing if you feell i should do

anywayz check out the exhaust in the pic and tell me how would it look
