Hey Tbhpians,
I was eagerly waiting for the Unicorn but now when its launched i'm backing off due to one reason i.e., it does not have a self start. I could possibly not believe it but that's the fact.
So what do u guys suggest. Should i pick it up or wait till a version with self start appears in our market (which may or may not come in the near future).

Dan.

P.S - Self start is one of the most important features i'm looking for in a bike.

Where there's a Honda, there's never a "NO". But see if you can get hold of any reliable source who can promise the launch of a "self starter" version, very soon.

Hey dan,

Does this mean you're selling off the 400 hehehe!

Back to the Unicorn, my suggestion is to wait. Unless you really need a bike Now, don't buy anything! I'm saying this as within a few months, maybe as early as Diwali, there will be some interesting new bikes being launched.

Bajaj has a better looking and more powerful Pulsar coming up soon, the Comet 250 will be launched and honda itself will launch the higher spec Unicorn by early next year.

Remember what I said in my previous posting on the unicorn. This is classic Honda style. First launch the simple no frills version to appeal to the masses, then come out with the sportier version in a few months....mag wheels, self start etc.

From the looks of it, self start is important to you, so hold on!

That's mine. But it is in Delhi. I am out of town since March and I have hardly ridden it since then. My father rides it 1-2 km a day to keep it running.
Here are the specs-

Engine immoblizer installed by HH. June 2003 model.11000 km run. Rear tyre needs change since I have soft CBZ rear tyre right now, which wears off very fast. No damages to engine or body.

Sorry guys, but could anyone tell me more about this 'zma'? I'm not aware of it as yet.

Anyway, i really appreciate the suggestions given to me but i'm still in a dilemma whether to go with the Unicorn or not. I mean every three-four months you have new bike models coming out.

I guess i'll take some more time to decide about this and let you all know.

Dan.

P.S - haha. No guys i'm not selling my baby blade. All i need is a good, reliable, fuel efficient bike for daily use.

If thats all you're looking for, then go for the Unicorn. You really can't go wrong with a Honda.
