I think the Karizma wins by far. This is mainly due to the revolutionary electronics/computer ( by indian standards) and the looks. Add to this the reliability of Honda and the ### of Hero Honda. I heard on CNBC that HH is due to launch 2 new models by early 2005. I just can't wait.

I own a bullet 500 and it has to be one of the best bikes i have ridden. Had my friends RD350 also for a few weeks and that was awesome too...nothing like the bullet though. And among the newer bikes, my bro has a fiero which i think is just awesome... really nice engine, but the gearbox is very troublesome. The karizma and the pulsar dts-i are also awesome.

And i prefer the older CB points based bullets, with the gears on the wrong side and all.. dunno why... somehow makes me happy to know i can ride a bike that most of the other ppl cant even start.

i had a splendor ,even after 6years and 70+k kms it was superbb.
i have voted for the karizma.
i have ridden the pulsar 180and 150.no matter wat baja comes up with,it will still reamain a bajaj.the quality is not like HH .
now i think it wud be the unicorn as it wud be the first bike with a monoshock and looking at the activa, dio and eterna i think the unicorn will rule.
the discover looks good ,then its a bajaj.

Why is the CBZ not on the poll??? Of the given bikes I'd choose the Karizma.
But still think CBZ is one of the best bikes around!!

voted the karizma,

i've got a silver one, got it last diwali, the smoothness of the engine is awesome, my friends have these pulsars (dtsi), there is a lot vibration beyond 5000rpm, interestingly the older pulsars were pretty smooth.

Neways its great fun with the karizma at the signals when u gun the engine n get ahead of the traffic in a jiffy, n plus u get noticed on this bike...people on the road are always coming up n asking questions. I jus love the bike...i bought it when it was retailing for almost 82000, now HH has reduced the price....thts good....wish i had bought it cheaper.

this to tell abt the pulsar 150.i had borrowed a friends pulsar and it felt really good unlike the 180.but the dtsi seems to have a slightly lesser pick-up.even though it was good, still was way behind the hondas.
the gears were not as smooth as even the splendor.and after riding for sometime i was getting tired ,as the handle was feeling heavy.

Well my fav. is the Yamaha RX-135. Amazing lower end torque. You can start it in third gear and get going. The response you get from the engine for a slight twist of your right hand - simply out of the world. And excellent maneuverability in traffic too. It is a major petrol-guzzler though.

But thats not in the list. So have voted for the pulsar.

PS. Have they stopped making those - i had checked a year back and it was available.

yes the rxz,rxg or the rx-135 has been stopped.the 5 speed was such a superb bike.
my all time favourite indian bike is the RD350.

All riding a friends bike and comments. just own a pulsar. i had taken many long trips on this 180 dtsi. its just amazing machine. Its unbeleivable that the Qty of the Bajaj is so good on pulsars. recently i came back from the trip to tirupathi from bangalore. the gear shifting is just so easy and very very smooth and very faster. was cruising all thru between 90 and 110.

Dude you try owning a karizma n u'l start finding faults with the pulsars automatically...before having a karizma...i really liked the pulsar and i still do its jus the little things tht make the difference.

N btw, i had a friends pulsar lying with me for over a month....that time i rode it everyday....thats how i've come up with some conclusions.

Yeah i agree ZMA is a good bike. its made as a performer and pulsar is a compromise of both mileage and performance. and both on diff segments.. and pulsar leads in its class.
and when there comes a better bike than zma ull start finding faults in zma as well.
All iam just saying is that the new gen pulsars are way ahead of older version pulsars and is improving and not the other way cheers
