price no object? then I'd opt for the Karizma.

On a budget, it'd be the Pulsar 180 DTSi.

Have they stopped manufacturing the Suzuki Shogun (Pls excuse my ignorance) ?
I used to own one a while ago - it's a great bike. 14bhp, if I'm not wrong, 110cc engine, but fared average on mileage....

The Shogun and other two strokes went out a long time back, with the new emission norms. My group was full of RX-100s and we used to have big time rivalry with Shogun riders. Great bike though, and I love that rpm+speedo console.

You said it ! The RX was the only other bike in India I ever loved. My Shogun is still in the garage at home and gets driven once every 1-2 years (what a pity).

If I had to take one of these, it would be the Karizma. But, just like Shravan, I'm a Bullet freak - Passion, style, power, comfort, a worldwide cult!

No, buddy. My parents will kick me out if they see me on a bike.
As a really young chap, I used to hate the Bullet. It was bulky and old fashioned.
When I was 14 or so, I had a Sikh friend who's brother served in the Army. That guy had a military green bullet. Just one ride on it was enough to convince me that if I were to buy a bike, it would be this. Now, I'm a diehard Royal Enfield fan.

Power/Mileage/Affordaility = Pulsar 180 Dtsi. If u have the money then its the Karitzma.

But the best bike that was ever made in India is and has always been the RD350.

Hey aditya, its funny you say this, coz a few years ago, when i was in the market for a new bike, I tested the bullet. And that one ride was enough to put me off the Bullet for good! When i blipped the throttle for the first time, the darn thing stalled!! The salesman told me that I have to blip it gently! Ok. I then went for a ride. I was alone with the bike to take it as far and as I wanted to, but after just 10 mins, I came back to the showroom.

I like a bike that can revv, take corners and basically go fast. Thats everything a bullet is not. And the price they ask you to pay for a 50 year old bike is crazy!! End of story for me and the bullet!

Its all well and good to get nostalgic about it, but when you stand back and look at the bike, you have to admit it is simply terrible! Sure its got a following, but that does not make it a good bike! I mean, even the East German Trabant has a fan following, and we all know what kinda vehicle that is!

I guess I'm asking for it now from all the bullet followers, but thats just my opinion of it.
