Honda Shine : Price

I have been using my brother's Honda Shine that he bought a year back. He has moved to bombay and i feel that I don't need to retain the bike anymore as it's usage is very minmal and I use my car all the time.

It has run only for 2700 kms..Kick start, Drum and spoke.

Black and is in PERFECT condition..Insurance and tax papers in place.

How much should I realistically expect for this bike? And..what is the best way to go about selling it? Advertise in the paper or go to the dealer directly ? Mind you, I'm talking about the Chennai markets

I think the best way to go about it will be to advertise in classifieds. Try to avoid any broker or dealer. They will unnecessarily eat away some part of the price you would otherwise get.

I have no idea of the Chennai market but considering the bike has run just the 2700 kms just reduce the 10% depreciation from the cost and work it out. Under no circumstances should it be less than 6000 rupees from the buying cost. There is no thumbrule for this probably but goes on a case by case basis.
