Would any of these scooters be suitable for a reasonably long-distance commute? Around 40-50km a day. The CVT and fuel economy looks attractive...

If you are going to ride a two wheeler 40-50km a day, definitely go for the flyte. I say this because I also ride it 40-45 km daily and I kept that in mind too while deciding the scooter - riding the Flyte will take care of your back as it has a very very good seating position. others are not as comfortable and could give you a back problem. So do sit on various scooters and get a feel for the riding posture, and take that into account too when u decide.

Oh ok, sorry I didnt make that connection.
My estimate for Flyte mileage so far is about 45 kmpl, in Pune's (horrible) traffic. I am happy with that, and I am told that it will get even better after the first service.

I have decided on the Kinetic Sym Flyte.

I know some people would be but you gotta take a test drive of that beautiful machine. Its about heart ruling over head.

Pawan -

The suspension is in fact one of my favorite things about the Flyte. The Flyte really is much better about dealing with bad roads (and Pune has plenty of them) than other scooters. I also really like the seating posture.
