Actually none of this is responsible for the alleged 20+ bhp. Its all in the head and camshaft. 20 bhp for a 150cc is nothing great when you look at the big picture. But in the Indian context, it is.

Wonder what answer TVS & Bajaj have to this. I know for a fact that circa 2005, TVS already had engines which produced close to this or even exceeded it, but they used it only for racing.

They use their 'special' high power 4-strokes only for the track and dirt bikes, right?

No, you can get the orange thing below the rear tire though.

Thanks for the pics anshuman, can you please post the pic of the instrument cluster?

The bike looks absolutely fantastic, if launched at 80k, it will virtually kill the ZMA's, Pulsars of the world.

Neat looking things. BTW does it have 2 versions? A single seater and the 2 seater? The single seater looks awesome, but i think the price would be a shade over 6 figures or close atleast.

I think the on road price might be close to the price of the Aquilla and the Comet (1.6 lacs)

Even Bajaj with its cost cutting features like using the same fuel tank across all Pulsar variants is selling the 220 for 85k, how can a foriegn company sell its products for the same price?

I expect the price to be around 1.3 lacs on road. It is a great buy even then.

Can someone confirm the launch date and the exact price? Its not put up on the website.

Auto Expo

Click on SuperSports 2008 YZF-R15 link. The DNA from R1 image is so misleading. Its not even to scale. Both bikes are on 17" wheels, the R15 is at about 115% of the R1s image.

Its sad that yamaha-motor-india.com should try to pass it off as similarly sized bike.

Anyway.. from Killers post looks like we may be underestimating this lil monster.

Looks good for sure. And lets not get into the skinny tires bit. The Tires have to match the CC and Bhp for optimum grip and performance. putting fatter tyres on this 150 would only cause more drag.

The bike looks good and hopefully will raise the hopes of the million odd Yam fans out here.
What can i say. Their bikes after the 2 strokes were underrated and the Fazer was sad. The libero was great though for its class
