Unicorn GP Edition - Helmet suggestions needed

Hello all,

This is my first message in Teambhp site!
I have a Honda Unicorn GP edition (orange color).

I currently have a whitish/creamish helmet with navy blue colored flowing fire type sticker work. I need suggestions for a helmet colors/brand/styling that suits the bike.
My Considerations:
1. Helmet base color to be in light colors (dark helmets heat up quickly).
2. Costing around 2000-3000 max.

I checked out the helmets in the helmet shops in Mount Road(Chennai). But I could not zero in on one.

I then planned to buy a white/cream color plain helmet and do some customized stickering stuff. But before I do that, please provide me some suggestions on out of the shelf or customized helmets.

check out Pioneer Scooter Center on GP Road, Roypettah.

Do not use any after market stickers on a helmet. The glue can react with the helmet and compromise safety.

use search feature before making a post.
There is a thread called "Which Helmet" and it is quite detailed.

Have a look at models from brands like GPR, BHP racing and fast track, and if you can increase your budget to about 4.5k you can get better ones from daijya.

Hello bblost,

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out the other thread. But it contains general info on helmets.

I am looking for color/sticker/styling suggestions specific to Unicorn GP edition bike. Are there any off the shelf helmets suitable for GP edition?

"on the lighter side", let me assure you that your riding will not be drastically affected because of the style or brand of helmet.

just pick up AGV that comes in mat black or red color (these are slightly cheaper since no sticker work), and design your very own stickering for it.

Hello all,

Thanks for your suggestions so far. I will check out Pioneer Scooter Center and Head Gear shop this weekend. I will have a look at the AGV, GPR brands.

Do we get any helmet styling of Nicky Hayden or other Honda GP drivers in India (Chennai)? If so, where and how much would they cost roughly?

Also please do tell me this - Does a lighter helmet translate to less safety?

Apart from these, there is another shop called Moto Design Works (or somthing like that) down the road from New College (below the flyover). He stores AGV helmets too.

He also stocks riding gear and stuff (sometimes expensive), but at least for someone willing to pay, its available.

U can find AGV's in almost all helmet shops in Lalbagh road. I picked my AGV from JC Road. They are not the originals made in Italy. These are made by MPA (Delhi) and which is good enough to save our heads.
