when aluminum is machined at high tool speeds such finish is normal.Aluminum has the highest reflectivity of 99.98%,better than silver.why it is used to coat mirrors on very resolution optical telescopes.

hello Mr Venu excellent work. I too had some plans creating a turbocharger for my uni but would try it after completing my studies next year.

The actual concept of turbochargers i saw was to take the exhaust air, cool it down using radiator & then feed it to the air filter.

This is a great idea for bikes but i want to know how the fuel will pass through the turbocharger & then how would it go upwards to the combustion chamber which is opposite to gravity?

Sreerama,

Im not sure if you have skipped mentioning the key of the concept - forcing in more air. What you have described is the air passing through the intercooler.

Check out this thread for more general info about turbochargers :

Also take a look at the turbochargers article on howstuffworks.com

When the air passes through the turbocharger it does not have the fuel mixed in it. The fuel is injected/mixed at a later stage, much closer to the cylinder, and sometimes even directly into the cylinder.

When the engine is on the intake stroke, the piston moves downwards, creating a lower pressure in the cylinder, which in turn pulls in the air and fuel mix. It really doesn't make much of a difference if the air is being pulled in upwards though the intake system or not. Its like sucking air through a straw....the direction the straw is pointing doesnt matter much.

Supering a 100cc bike is genuinely crazy. But genuinely ingenious! Congratulations, hope you make it work.

Hi Venu, just saw some of your projects and am feeling revered for the kind of passion and ability you own.Thats exactly an enthusiast should be like, making all he wants DIY way. I too am thinking of experimenting something of the sorts for bigger engines with a centrifugal blade. Can you provide some info on the DIY of this stuff??
Another thing i saw that u have applied the carb. well before the compressor, want to know its implications and ain't it dangerous cause the compressing air-fuel mixture might combust out of pressure??
Regards.

Hi Venu,

We are all eagerly waiting for the Supercharger that you are developing. What is the progress on it. This is the most awaited mod for our desi bikes. Kindly give us all the good news soon.

Thanks for the reply Venu sir. Oil is leaking from the top of the engine(don't know its exact name), where we open for engine repair works. Went to Zen motors, and said to put a gasket or so to prevent it from leaking, but they said its not so and did so engine repair work and said it will not be seen again, but damn its back after a month!

What may be the exact problem, Venu sir?

Thanks,
Ramki.
