30+ plus years!!!!!!!!! on the road, only changes have been some minor cosmetic changes and after 3 decades they decided to put in modern electricals and CV carb, what a waste. Where does the bullet stand???? It ain't a cruiser for sure. Putting a cruiser handle bar does not make a bike a cruiser. Putting in a DISC BRAKE and recently an ELECTRIC STARTER has been one giant leap for Enfield I guess. Wonder how long before they change those UGLY looking 19" wheels. For the 70's era, BULLET must have been THE BIKE. Times have changed now, bike performance has entered a new dimension. BULLET should learn a few things from Triumph, like what they have done with the Bonneville T100.

thats because there is no other cruiser bikes in india...All this years they dint change anything on a bullet.. Thats a bad part for them cause lots of technologically advanced engines are now avilable in the indian market..If they had changed the engine for a well advanced 1 it would have sold like hot cakes..

boss, they have their staus and refinement... Aquilla is pretty costly kinda bike which indians find it a lil dificult to afford..Eliminator, who said its bad??even harley had their first models long back, but now they are way a head in technology, bullet just sticking on to its old engine which was good that days...

They have the ones with the lean burn engine on the 500cc.. But since 500cc doesn't sell much in India, they aren't getting it here....

_Cheers_

True, there is no replacement for the bullet cause, no manufacturer would wanna make a bike that bad!!!!! with life long troubles.

Recently, there was a program on the A1(adventure one) channel, two guys start out from Calcutta, one guy on a Bullet 500 and the other on the 350. No sooner had the journey commenced, that the legendary bullet problems cropped up, one by one the bike begins to fall apart. First the carb stops the fuel supply, then clutch problems, finally engine seizes, by this time they're entering Russia.

A group of Harley riders in Russia try to help them out but, the legendary bike is beyond their capability. In Poland, thank god they come across an Indian who services bullets, cause no one else can!! then from there they somehow manage to reach their destination, UK that's where the white guy on the 500 is from. Oh almost forgot this, one part of the journey was through flight via Khazakistan. When they finally land, that crappy 350 (its a new bike) refused to start. After an hour or so of being pushed started at the air port the bike started.
This is one scenario I came across. god knows how many more such disasters have happened with bullets???

All I'm saying is why does'nt Enfield try to improve that bike??? With so many die hard Bullet fans all over India and the world across. For Rs.75,000+ improvements should be within reach!!! Then again why bother as long as the bike is selling, right???

Came on, every bike has its bad days.... Cant judge it by a few problems.... And it is not a bad bike like you say...

it falls in a different league all togetther.... Some one who loves a zma is not expected to say good things about a bullet..... (No offense to zma owners, but isn't that the case)...

Ya, may be some improovement has to be done.... But people her wont shell out that much more money.... Why isn't the 500cc doing well?? No FE!!!!! But I dont know many people who buy a bullet who look at its FE...

Like you said may be they need to try to improove it......

Exactly, they have to improve the mechnicals on the bike, or else the future will get very meek for Bullet. Then again there's only so much that can be improvised on the Bullet.
