Update

I took off on a ride from Hyderabad to Lonar on Saturday.
Total Distance about 900+ in two days.

The jerks come back on the way to SangaReddy.
After breakfast there replaced the spark plug and the power become smoother.

However there are 2 issues that remain.

Issue #1
I need to keep toggling my headlight(High Beam).
With it ON the ride is real smooth for about a 100 kms.
Switch it OFF, ride becomes smooth for the next 100 kms.
I am guessing its something to do with my CDI or my 4.5 year old battery.

Issue #2
I would sometimes get turbo lag kind of feeling on heavy acceleration.

Since FFE is not a co-requiste, K&N has MANIFESTED itself in my mind shopping list.

I rode 12 hours in the rain yesterday and my bike never stalled.
Ride write up as soon as I get the time.

THANKS

Long ride meant the roads were counting.

I got an average of 40kmpl riding with a pillion at speeds generally on the 85+ side.

I did not want to create a new thread for this question of mine.

CLUTCH.
Some slipping has started coming thru and I am replacing the clutch.

I ran google and found this
Royal Enfield Motorcycles - Motorcycle India | Custom Motorcycle Kit | Custom Harley Davidson Accessory | India

At Rs 41000 it is 100 times the cost of a stock clutch.

Any alternatives.

40K? What is it made of? titanium?

Why the need to go for an aftermarket? Stick to Stock.

I can only wonder what its made up of.
A correction to my earlier post.
Royal Enfield Motorcycles - Motorcycle India | Custom Motorcycle Kit | Custom Harley Davidson Accessory | India
and its price is 30k.

Still way over what I am prepared to pay.

@Spitfirel: No reason per se. Would like to evaluate available options.
Since the stock clutch is quite cheap at 400 bucks, I don't mind experimenting a little.

I got a 2005 electra 4S.the air filter is fitted in RHS box.I didnt felt any missing apart from once when filled from a spurious source.

I am not into modding.but If I fit a K&N filter for my bull ,what things can I expect?

@bblost :I think 40kmpl constant mileage is possible with AVL engines.but at 80kmph ?

Since last reported the issue no longer occurs on my bike.

These have happened to my bike since then:

3rd battery.
Twice changed as the Amaron was faulty and I got a replacement from them.

The manifolds on both sides of the carb are new.

New clutch plates. Bike was 5+ years old when changed.

I don't know which of these is responsible for fixing the issue.
