Hmm.. the numbers of Suzuki Accesses on the road makes it hard to believe that there's a huge demand for this Scoot.

5880 Kms on the Odo

It a long bending update, gave the vehicle for regular service total amount spent Rs 150/-.

Issues that appeared :

* Head light: Only high beam work and not the low beam

Items Changed Service

* NIL

New things added:

* NIL

Post service:

* Still driving with the high beam only, would be changing the headlight shortly.
* Mileage 40-42KMPL

Day to day driving this has decreased and it is now majorly driving by my elder brother. The drive is fantastic and nothing to complaint.

I have stopped getting my vehicle services by Kinetic service center. The vehicle went for 7K service to a workshop near my house, amount spent Rs 125/-.

Issues that appeared :

* The marking on the key area has disappeared. It is getting difficult to differentiate between opening the Fuel lid & Locking the steering.

* Reaching battery is a touch part! I tried filling acid to the battery and ended up with a small gap between the vehicle body.

8000 on the Odo

It a long bending update

* Fuel tank leaking petrol.

I have moved Flyte with me to Hosur and i'm driving this in Hosur streets. The petrol tank started leaking if i fill more than 1 liter petrol, i'm not sure what hit the petrol tank. The nearest service center is Bangalore so i'm still driving around with re-filling less petrol.

6 incidents reported on leaky petrol tank in Flyte.(said by Dealer, Chennai)

Infact this is in First Gen Flyte (one with Mobile charger and Zapper tyres)
Apparently, they have rectified the same and released the second gen 8 months back (without mobile charger, Normal Tyres)

I got the second gen - listing out the key points;
  • Terrific performance, but tyres dont inspire confidence
  • As menioned not suitable for long drives, very small petrol tank
  • Comfort-wise its good
  • Good set of features
  • Some times small issues may crop up - but livable (Indicator not working / Lights go Kaput, starter not working etc..)
  • Very good suspension setup (twin forks upfront, does a wonderful job)
  • Needs choke on cold mornings

This is also an area to be concern about, i had replaced headlight twice. And reported by other members as-well.

Other than that vehicle is pure enjoyment!

@Mi10: where do you get your Flyte serviced?

I too own a Kinetic flyte since last 1.5 years.
The main problem I am facing is the low mileage (around 30kmpl) and low ground
clearance especially with two people ride. Bottom get scratched even on a small speed breaker. Otherwise a good scooter !

Low ground clearance is a big problem with Kinetic Flyte. It touches even the small speedbrakers with pilion. The petrol tank is located below the footboard, and I am predicting that that hits at speedbrakers may cause leakages in the petrol tank.

I stopped checking mileage for the the Flyte, but I am sure it is not more than 38 kmpl. Otheriwse, it is a pleasure to ride the scooter in traffic. If they can solve the problem of low ground clearance, it makes a good scooter. Also, the seat is small and taller people feel uncomfortable with pilion.

Wouldn't that void the warranty?

Yes, I knew that it would void the warranty, but i didnt want to take a any change of giving it to Kinetic service center.

When i gave my vehicle for 2nd service this is what happened:

*) I was promised to get my vehicle delivered in the evening. I go there and i was shocked. No electricity and they said electricity was down for one complete day so no work done.

*) It wa raining at that time and the Services shed had lots of hole on the roof and the rain water were dripping on the vehicle that had come in.

*) They were out of spare parts (read it as headlights bulb) and i had to wait for some more time.

and the list goes on

Hey, i dont give this for Service (I dont trust the service guys anyway) - yes, not even first service.

I do it myself (with help of a known mechanic)

I brought this from one kinetic dealer who is in adyar (in case you know chennai) - I forgot his name - his place is just opp to the bajaj probiking showroom
