You got a beauty, buddy. If I have to start biking abroad, this would definitely be one of my first choices.

Btw, a 2008 Lancer and not an EVO; interesting!

Have you posted a review of the Lancer on the forum??
Sure. Once I get more comfortable riding,I'll plan a few trips to Austin/Dallas/San Antonio.

This is the thread I started on the '08 Lancer

Yes Sankar. The previous owner actually gave me good quality riding gear. The helmet, gloves & a super-heavy riding jacket. Some pics of it coming up..

True, 600-700cc is a good place to get started. Mine being 650cc,couldn't ask for more.

I got the Lancer in 2007. It was for my wife,so I decided to hold off going in for the Evo. I've got my eyes on it though.

Hehe..I don't think it'll be that bad, saab ji. I've been on the Suzuki Samurai (back in 2001,ie.). Well, there's always something to look forward to when it comes to biking in India.

Congrats on your purchase. I remember seeing a similar bike in the Dhoom movie. Is it the one? Next time I am in Houston/San Antonio, I would love to visit you. Do you stay near to West Place Drive by any chance?

Thanks,Manson. I did take a clip of the exhaust. Its a bulky file, and I'll have to upload it onto YouTube and share the link. Can't access YT from work,so I'll go home & do that this evening.

I'll probably have to take the bike outdoors and record the clip . Took one inside the garage, and I think there's a lot of reverberation.

Thanks,Ajo. The bike in Dhoom is the Suzuki Bandit, the naked street bike version of my SV650S.
I live in the Woodlands. Its about 30-45 mins from the West Place Drive.Sure, the next time you are in town,we'll definitely meet up.

Thanks,Sammy.
I was pleasently surprised when the owner said he'll throw in the gear with the bike. That would have costed atleast $400-700 if I had to go else where & shop. I need to get another helmet for my wife though, but thats not going to be much.

Good point and please get a jacket for her too along with a helmet (full face please)
I think those open face helmets are very unsafe.

Absolutely,I hate the 1/2 face /open face helmets. Wouldn't want any kind of bugs getting squished on my face.

please let me know if you were able to open the video. I listened to it,and I doubt if even 1/2 the effect of the exhaust is felt.
