Great Pics...Looks "nice" in these pics. The feeling i've right now is similar to one i've after watching great promo's of a flick and then wondering if the 2hr movie is going to be as much a treat as the 5min promo.

The R15 must a gr8 bike but a lame replica of the elder sibling. Alas, not everyone is a connoisseur to appreciate dry and bitter wines. Most go for the sweet ones! So not many bot the R15 for its pedigree but mostly for the piece of SBK pie. And i surely dont think its SBK stuff.
I'm worried that the FZ150 may end up being a low volume machine if Yamaha try to make it a little-big machine. But the FZ lineup isn't even remotely close to the icon R1 is and so, the average Joe, who doesnt know the FZ pedigree, will mostly end up buying cause it would be (i pray) one good, beefy looker! If its not and is pretty much another 150cc with a mono-shock, then why not an Apache?
So for the 100 enthusiasts here who want to shred the info to pieces and know as much as they can before they shell the moolah, Yamaha needs 1000 average Joes who dont bother to know anything else about the price except its mileage, looks & price in that order.
R15 was definitely for the enthusiast so no worries if it doesnt do great numbers but FZ150 needs to deliver for Yam...

hi guys,

saw these guys on the expressway as i was on my way to play a round of golf!!!

there must have been about 15-16 of the yamaha guys out on the road in two lots - one bunch of about 4 riders tailing the back of the bigger group of 12 odd guys doing some seriously quick stuff.

pls note that the size of the pics is the best that my p990i could handle while i was trying like mad to keep on the right lane so as to get the best shots!!!

none of them seemed bothered that they were being clicked and happily weaved in-between each other, ahead of us in the safari. i actually rolled the windows down to hear the lovely throaty roar of the bikes as they accelerated away with impunity... nice!!! :

erm mods - i don't have a clue as to how to watermark these images, so pls do the needful if required...

Sorry cannot name the sources, but i heard the the Bike is due launch mid september thats exactly 15 days approx. I know somebody who is going for the launch??? the Place is Goa.

I'm sure some of them are hidden in the back of the Bombay showroom for the launch date. There are four R1's hidden there for sure.

I hope the fz comes with a 15-16ps motor with fi which is more of the torquier kind unlike the top end screamer on the r15. And pray, whats the point of having such a wide tyre? I'd definitely think of a 110/80 or so at the rear to be more apt! Add a price of 75k and I'd join the queue!

I remember seeing these bikes at Lonavala.
There were few bikers riding these bikes.
I could see the tuning fork badge but thought it to be R15 without the fairing.!
Those guys definitely were testing the FZ150.

I saw these bikes a few days back on the dehradun mussoorie road.the riders were all in yamaha overalls.clicking pics and all.maybe they are doing an all india tour for marketting or trial runs.

Height of optimism? A 140 section rear and a 100 section front on a 160 cc bike....

The FZ would be a hit with the youngsters, without doubt. Yamaha is back. With a bang.
