@silver_shadow, the place is called Upvan Lake.

Shreeram, good for you, you found a bike which started for just 15k.

It's most RD owners' dream to get one for that price and patiently work on it. That way, you appreciate the bike and it keeps you interested also.

Moralfibre, if some one finds a scrap RD for cheap, they mostly will end up picking it up themselves. So do not depend on anyone if you are looking for one.

Here are the hearts of the machines in orders displayed as before.

Mind blowing RD! And I thought machines with a certain propeller badge are the only kind that I'd lust for, from your parking lot.

brings back sweet memories of screaming thru the west expressway in a 84, RD back in 2002/03
it was a brief tryst with the RD and had to sell it off once family committments increased..

even now i quite remember the neck breaking ( no exhaggeration ) acceleration , the "getting thrown off your seat " experience, terrible braking and some messy breakdowns !!

hi

there is one chap in pune who owns two Rd's. Running but Not upto the mark in performance(needs some work) but he is asking for 55 - 60 K.
If anyone is intrested scrap me.

I have also found a decent & highly original RD (even has the saree guard as it left the facotry) in a building lying unused for a long time. the only problem is that i am not able to meet the owner. otherwise i would have purchased it even before i got my recent RD.

Probably a bit steep isn't it? What parts on the bike are stock?

There would be people interested in buying, but all would expect a completely working RD i stock condition for that price...

P.S. Correct me if I am wrong guys.

I like the work on the exhaust also.
Thanks a lot mate.. love to keep her that way.. the rims are plated in golden colour. regarding the tail lights.. lots of people have asked me about it, well a round one will somehow look out of place since the rear end is more squarish.. the exhausts are from an lc..

regards,
Mav!

Maverick's bike looks good, and rides like a dream too. The brake and clutch are awesome, get deployed immediately. The steering is easy so city riding is just as much fun. The engine is so good and the bike is so powerful low down, that I have to concentrate my weight on keeping the front wheel on the ground in low gears. Acceleration is seamless...Guys, that's one RD to ride.

Nice nice. Loved the one with the LC pipes.
Who did the porting on that machine? Is it easy to copy LC porting and ignition map and other stuff onto the RD engine so that pipes work?

Overall, I see everyone is running the OE airbox. Do you guys still get good quality filters there for them?

Awesome X 5! The red and blue ones with decals are the best!

Guess Mav is too busy so I'll post on his behalf.

We are not sure of what exhaust port size Sushil's RD is running on, but the intaje one seems stock. The pistons are in great condition as the bike feels really smooth when accelerating (smooth meaning no snatchy acceleration, not literally smooth) and there are no alterations done to the ignition what so ever.

Hey Mav, how about letting Rohit and me do some R&D on your bike? We'll know why your bike kicks butt so much.

But one thing is, Sushil's bike can't kick mine, simply due to power-to-weight ratio. Hee hee hee.....

And Scary Skulls, I think you may not to find LC ignition maps et all if you fix Chinoy's ignition kit and suitably calibrated expansion chambers on the bike. Yes, you get good K&N conical air filters, and along with upjetting, that's what u'll have to do to get Ron Chinoy's kit working completely for you.
