re: Motorcycle mechanic in Delhi?

Urgently required,,, a Yamaha specialist Mechanic in Nashik.
Well guys, here goes my confession (It was due for a long time)
I bought my first wife- my yamaha rx-135 5speed in 2000 and kept it in top shape and close to my heart. I also took part in a few rallies organised my my organisation around the hills of Uttaranchal. By the year 2003-04, I had moved to Calcutta and managed to find one of the most sincere mechanics there who cared about the bike as dearly as I did. Never modified, the bike was resplendent in its glory. By the year 2005, I moved to the Valley. Despite the kind of activities I was involved in over there, as connectivity was available, I took along my bike and rode her fearlessly all over the beautiful place.
Here comes the first twist, by the year 2006-07, I moved to a remote part of Gujrat where finding just a normal technician is difficult, let alone a specialist. Needless to say, during the mov by our own Indian Railways, the bike was horribly abused. despite that, the fighter that she is, my bike delivered like a queen and was the talk of the sleepy hamlet. By 2008, I moved for a breif period to Secunderabad where the Castrol Bike Zone guys worked on my BIke well and restored her well. I was happy there.
The Final and most serious twist - I had to move to a highly active and remote place where it was impossible to take my bike. So for three whole years, I left the bike at a relative's place in Delhi. Those guys left it outside under a tarpaulin and my bike's condition was heart wrenching.
Now, I have moved to Nashik and took my bike along. I want to restore her to her resplendent glory and I dont care what it will take.
So guys,,, pleasehelp me find a master mechanic in Nashik who would help me get my baby in top shape. I promise to never ever leave her alone again!!!!
God Bless!

Contact:- Mohan aka Anna (Nisha Motors, College road) or Munna (his deputy). My RX100 gets attended here. I have been visiting this guy for the past 2 years or so and have found him to be reasonable and genuine IMHO. I am in Nasik only and you can PM me in case of any help.

Spike

PS- Most bikes (used in Rallies from Nasik are built here)

The bike is running fine, thanks for asking

The bike has been faithful to me and not giving any trouble. But I am feeling the lack of real power and am on the lookout for a good mechanic to re-bore /revamp the engine. let me know if you know someone.

re: Motorcycle mechanic in Delhi?

hmm maybe its time for you to start upgrading the bike towards performance.. think about it.

On the simpler side...check the compression in the cylinders as a start point, spark plugs, clean filters, clean carbs, check jetting and also decarbonise the silencer if you can.

I am sharing the pic of my bike with you, lets catch sometime in person.....

Yesterday I had been to Perfect Motors to pick my Yamaha RX135 after a overhaul. Still the father and son duo continue to do the perfect job. Though he does an additional profession, he continues to do an excellent job on bikes.

re: Motorcycle mechanic in Delhi?

I referred him to a friend of mine last year but then they told that they are not doing the bike repairs for now as they had started a new business in the same shop.

May be the new business did not pick up and they are back in their old profession. Good for the bikers!

Cheers!

TIA
Shakensoul. I have read your thread from top to bottom and now i think i am ready to re-enter the world of rx after 5 years. Used to have a rxg. Sold it after college in 2007, have changed cities twice, and generally am very much a different person...till i hear a two stroke going through the revs. I then slow down my car and think about those times.

I have been to Karol Bagh only once in my life, and am generally scared for being completely swindled there. And yet I hear its the place for 2nd hand bikes. Any recommendations? The price point for your bike is affordable enough, infact its the turning point in this decision to buy one back. This weekend hopefully.

Hello Shakensoul,

Hope things are fine with the bike, its nice to hear that the bike being faith full and trouble free. What your mean by “the lack of real power”. did you rebore the cylinder. What’s the current piston size. You can very well rebore to next size. But the FE will be impacted. I am in search for new bore piston for RXG , any clue
Thanks

I almost gave up after some serious searching. Now my hopes are low. Can't find 4TL00.

re: Motorcycle mechanic in Delhi?

Hi Guys ,
Now the new cylinder kits are available from the Yamaha factory directly ,this opened new doors for 2 stroke enthusiastic bikers. I am not able to find a reliable mechanic. Anybody from Noida or Ghaziabad would be a great help.
Here are the list of problems
Average : below 30 should give around 35+
Poor initial pick up, it good after 20 kph
Engine and clutch noise
Some cosmetic upgrade ( seat, indicators, reflector etc)

Any comments invincible7

thanks
Sri

Need mechanic for 1990 Suzuki GS500

Hi,
I have an old GS500 -- it used to run very well till it started giving electrical issues... I took it to a few different mechanics, including some fancy ones in Gurgaon. Not many showed the inclination to work with old bikes.

Current status is that on the left side there is no spark -- I have changed wiring (eBay, used), coils and CDI.

Can anyone recommend a good bike mechanic in Delhi area willing to work with old bikes, it does take time and effort.

Thanks
Raghav

Try reaching out to Moto Pit Garage in Gurgaon if you haven't already. They should be able to help you fix your bike. All the best.
