Get it serviced once, may be the contact breakers and spark plug need to be cleaned. Timing also may need to be adjusted. You may also want to have the battery checked.

Please turn the petrol to off when you park in the night. Morning - you will need to use the choke, bring the ampere needle to the centre and one gentle push all the way. That should do the trick.

Also - kickstarting a bullet is an art , you will be an expert soon and will show off like the rest of us.

As Sheshagiri told, practise all the stuff he mentioned. You will be a master like rest of us. Using the choke in the morning is fine if needed, that is what the choke is designed for. Allow her to warm-up for some time before you start riding.
