here are a couple of pictures of a custom paint job done on a rx 135 5 speed.we use it for some drags as well.the bike is pretty fast.and i guess it is buy far the best bike that yamaha has given this country.
georgev, amazing. What a beauty :thumbs up!
Where did you rebuild the bike? Is there any modifications done to the bike? How did you manage to source the disc set-up? Is it not Brembo? What about the tacho? You have changed the engine casing to that of 5-speed. Would loved to see the bike in stock handles and stock tires stupid:.
- Thanks, Jose.
thanks jose, the major work was done at the the then yamaha dealer in kottayam 2 years before.(we have a new dealer now !!) every thing is replaced as i had an accident just before. it is a RX135 5 speed with indonesian RX barell ( wink...).yes it is a brembo set up i bought from bangalore from a friend some time back.will be going back to the stock rim with michelin M45 tyres soon.like to kee a high handle as it gives me some relief to the aching back. the tacho is not connected, i am trying to source all the parts from SE Asia so that i can fix it soon. which model is your RX?
Here is my Yamaha RX100 1993 model. He was orginally black in color.I used to change his colour very frequently during my college days. After i got a job my brother started using it for a while. Now nobody rides him as my brother also got placed in a company. Now he is parked in my store room.
Meet the red machine that what i call him, my 1992 model RX 100 which was originally black,Ive given him different avatars with frequent paint jobs and looks varying from retro to mud track. This bike has played an important role in giving me an identity in my small town, man we used to rip and drag our rx100s.5 of us had RX100s with same looks (Yezdi dooms
and raised mudguards) but with different shades. Slowly i graduated from a brat to responsible bread winner or should i say from RX100 to Royal Enfield. But still the old memories which i spend with my red machine gives me goose bumps, for me this bike means freedom, I still feel the rush of wind and gush of adrenaline when i think ofmy red machine. After getting a job i couldn't lay my hands on him as i moved to Chennai and my cousin brother started using him, now that he is also graduated from a Yamaha to Enfield, my red machine is resting in my store room. Am sure still he will roar if given a chance. This is going to be my new project, yes the resurrection of my red machine. Look out for my new project which iam planning to launch by
March 2010.Now as the team say, enough of speech, let the pictures do some talking.

George, sorry for the late reply please:.
Are you saying that you have converted the bike to 135 5-speed?
If you are looking for M45, then you need to get it from Trivandrum. I tried it in Cochin, but the place had only M35 & another series.
My RX is '99 model 135 4-speed Tiger series. I got it painted 2 years back. The vehicle is stock except for the cat-con fitted.
Thanks,
Jose.
I acquired this yesterday
RX 135 5 speed of 2000 vintage.
its a riot,a menace.
extremely loud in power band(some glasswool ehh??)
power wheelies in 1st three gears with me on board(switch to 18" rear or i should lose some weight).
need to get a rear mudguard and a number plate ASAP.
looks mean.
get the OE mudguard in the front too, this one will splash water and dirt on the plugs.
what chamber is that ?

Its a custom tuned chamber designed by some tuner down south.
was sourced by a friend almost 2 years ago so forgot his name:Frustrati
It needs to be restored as bike was standing idle for past 18 months,so some bits and pieces are missing
as of now i will keep her running as it is till june.
after that will restore her,as bike will be used for trail riding,so not planning for stock parts.
Disc brake upfront is number one on the list.
Needs paint work too. Is that a dent in the tank. The tyres are not much old, got rubber. Which is that headlight.
