I would rate Moto C higher than the Moto D, it has got better grip in regular usage conditions. I've had the Moto C 4.25x18 on my Bullet before and Now i have the Moto D on my Bullet. My RX had the 3.5x16 Moto D when i sold it off.
Thanks Sankar for the correction. Yes it is a Moto D.

Whats the difference between the Moto C and D?The thread pattern on the D looks like something designed for dirt riding (button thread)

D has bigger tread blocks while the C has smaller but more number of tread blocks.
I used to be lot more comfortable taking corners and riding on wet roads when the bike had MotoC. After i got the D the comfort levels had dropped much, it wasn't gripping well, and at times i could feel the rear end sliding under me during cornering. Wet braking was better with C. I went for Moto D only becuase the C was not available in Tvm and the dealer wasn't sure know if he could get it for me in time.

Thinking of buying it again next year.

Because it's name is RX135 Tiger This model was launched after the RXG flopped big time. RX135 Tiger had a different port setup and overcame RXG's deficits. After Tiger came the RX135 4 speed and then the 5 Speed.

The only info I know about the Tiger is that it has a square, more like a CD100 speedo. Had a pic somewhere, now lost it.

Hello 2StrokeJunkie,

Tiger series came out only in black color with 'Tiger' stickering on side-covers, black-colored indicator housings, head-light stays, rear-mudguard and rear-view mirror on right side only .Some models of the Tiger series had CD-100 like speedo unit. These changes were made by Yamaha as part of cost-cutting.

Specifications-wise, I don't think there is any difference between 135 & Tiger. I've no idea about the barrels, and viz.

Also, I've heard Tiger was made by Yamaha to provide better economy. And it was sold only in Kerala.

I am not too sure if the port setup of the Tiger was different but they tried to clear off all the issues with RXG, of which porting was never one of them.

Short lived model, did not sell that many.
