Sajid, that was a sweet report on the R-1-5. Congrats on this purchase. I am yet to see it in the flesh, out here in Hyderabad, i haven't even seen a single one on road.

Btw, good choice of the color, i think it looks best in blue. Please put up pictures of the blue bike and SRK

need help

Guys ! need your suggestions on the following :-

I want to fit an anti theft security system on my bike and change the factory fitted horn as R15 comes fitted with a single weak horn , but when i talked to the yamaha guys , they told me that if i install any third party product on my bike the warranty would be void , he said that soon yamaha would declare some third party products as authorized parts , and i have to wait till this happens. , can i get any help on this ?

another question is , is any R15 owner thinking about broader tires for R15 ? please let me know if there is any positive answer for me .

thanks

Congrats Sajid on your new acquisition. Please keep us posted on how the bike feels like from every angle. It will help fellow buyers. Yes do not tamper with the under- warranty material. Let the warranty be over and then you're free from such hassles.

Good pics there Sajid and the front number plate is fitted @ a peculiar place though. Anyways regarding the third party authorized products, its better not to play around with after market installation as it would void the warranty and its ideal to wait for those authorized products by Yamaha or wait until the warranty period is over.

Dear Maverick & Anjan , u guys are right , i better not mess with the bike's warranty , and anjan , the bike's handling and braking is awesome ! day before yesterday i was messing with my brother in law who owns a pulsar 180 , we started off together , he was changing gears at around 5000 rpm and i was pulling the rpms to 8000 regularly , in each gear , the result , i couldn't find his bike in my rear view mirrors within a minute , just 60 seconds ! this bike can easily thrash pulsar 200 !! but i have to check where it stands against pulsar 220 , will be feeding you the informations as i progress

happy riding
