Okies- you finally put up the beasties while my net was down- MTNL ki jai.

Insaneroller- here is a little tale from 7-8 years back or a bit more.

I was waiting at a small junction, just a signal or 2 before the Khar Tel exchange one, from the Juhu end.
It's the same signal all had to stop once while heading to Bandra.
Had taken a left turn as there wasn't a U-Turn there and was waiting for the right turn back to Linking road.

One RD comes rolling from Juhu side, a white one, looking fully-restored, chrome gleaming at the right places and stops at the signal.
And i tell my pal sitting pillion- that's the way an RD should look- clean, gleaming.

Along comes a deep Blue/navy-blue RD, a bit dirty maybe, not looking clean or done up.
Cannot see much as it's beyond the white one and traffic has piled up a bit.
And i am like a bit sad.
Not expecting it to perform great.
The blue one is 2-up, white one is solo.

Signal turns green and the blue one shmokes the white one- a dozen odd sewing machines singing together at full blast.

Moral of the story- never judge a bike, esp an RD by its looks. :P

Old tale but any chance that was you on the blue bike?

@BIKeINSTEIN, sorry for the late response. No dude, that wasnt me. Dont rip from red lights to show off he power of my RD. Unless some guys really overdo the scene then there's no stopping. The Mod RD will surely get ruined by my blue one any day. But top speed it'll catch up due to the extensive mods.

Nice bike insaneroller. I had seen ur bike at Sachins place when it was being built and never guessed it would turn out so good. At first I thought "why do this to an RD" . But then I was told you have another RD, so .....
Anyways to each his own. Enjoy ur ride.

Nice. I see that a lot of money has gone into the black RD, what with USD forks, monocross rear, 180 section rear and petal disc to mount.

Questions.

I don't see the master cylinder or reservoir for the front brakes. Where's it mounted at?

The tank. Seems strikingly familiar. done-up CBZ, or...?

I'm guessing the front tyre's a 120 section one. Overkill?

Overall, nicely modded. I shudder to think of the moolah gone into this one. Northwards of 1.3L, I presume....!

The ZX 14 is fast. The RD has a nice kick at the top end...but...I wouldn't call it, erm, fast....quick, yes, but not fast....IMHO...

Very much tuned & ready for a nice rip.

Moolah spent on black is around 1.6, after a while I'll be changing the uselessly (poser points) long swing arm. Then she's going to be faster than my Blue Monster. But First, wana keep this for a while.

Great stuff there Roller...

Are your brutes running on points or CDi? Also, are the exhausts on the black one calibrated? The end pipes look strangely similar to the stock ones...

Who is you mechanic? Maybe you also can bump into us sometime...Quite a few of us have tinkered around with our RDs too...

Thanks mate. Cant run both these beasts on points. Both on CDI. Both have expansion chambers - & bloody good ones. If & when we meet, you'll know from the firing that both, specially the Blue one are monsters. My mech is andheri west based. Let me know if u need his contact. But alot of stuff was put by me via direct purchase from Ron Chinoy's killa products.

Expansions are not from RDD. The UNI & Digi III CDI are RDD.
